jules:
Thanks for the PM. Sometimes I wish God didn’t love me that much! Didn’t Teresa of Avila think that same thing? Oh well. I’ll carry on another day. Please remember me in your prayers tomorrow. I see a specialist for my intestinal infection. Yuck. It went away (for 1 day) then came back yesterday after I went off the antibiotic. Thanks, Jules. You’re always in my prayers, dear one! God bless!
Mom, yes, It was St. Teresa who said that, also St. Augustine also said, ‘make me a saint, but not right now.’
So we are not the only ones who want to run from suffering, but it is ultimately for us to become holy.
Praying for your health Mom and here is that prayer. I don’t know where it is from but it’s a good one when things are hard.
God bless

O Blessed Host
The love of God is the flower - Mercy the fruit.
Let the doubting soul read these considerations on Divine Mercy and become trusting.
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of adversities and floods of despair, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of falsehood and treason, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of darkness and godlessness, which inundates the earth, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the longing and pain in which noone will understand us, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the toil and monotony of everyday life, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope amid the ruin of our hopes and endeavours, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of the ravages of the enemy and the efforts of hell, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when the burdens are beyond my strength and I find my efforts are fruitless, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when storms toss my heart about and my fearful spirit tends to despair, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when my heart is about to tremble and mortal sweat moistens my brow, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when everything conspires against me and black despair creeps into my soul, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when my eyes will begin to grow dim to all temporal things and for the first time my spirit will behold the unknown worlds, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when my tasks will be beyond my strength and adversity will become my daily lot, when the practise of virtue will appear difficult for me and my nature will grow rebellious, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when hostile blows will be aimed against me, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when my toils and efforts will be misjudged by others, I trust in You
O Blessed Host, when Your judgements will resound over me, I trust in You
**Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless an the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair not become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. **
