I couldn’t even if I wanted to **

Does your daughter give you any words of wisdom? I have found that oftentimes adults run around trying to find all these complicated answers to problems and children often have the best answers of all They are so innocent and sweet and honest.

** She feels McKayla with her all the time … and dreams of her … but she doesn’t say much. Today the snow is beautiful and I know Mandy is missing her sister. She went out to play and was so sad … it is time like these that she misses KK the most **

I just want you to know that I think of you so often, I cant say that enough. Honestly. Your agony is so tangible and real, and if I can offer you a moment of peace from it, then that is my hope.

** Thank you … we are truly at our darkest time right now (other than when it first happened). Her birthday (14) will be Dec 20 … just unbelievably unbelievable.**

I know that if it were me, they would have to give me some pills and lock me in a room, because my heart would collapse. You know, I have heard that some people actually die from a broken heart - there is somethign that happens to the heart that the medical communtiy doesnt understand yet, but the good news is that it heals as soon as people feel better. Its a crazy thing I saw on a science channel.

** My heart is broken … and the pain is constant - and I am not exaggerating when I say that … it is constant and I ache for her.**

You have lost so much. But you still have work to do here. You have another daughter and a husband and God wants you here to do whatever you are supposed to do.

** What could I do — part of me died when she died … and I can bearly function … never mind have some type of action left to do. I would have been more helpful whole … which I shall never ever again be.**

You are going through the same pain that Mary went through. Its the worst pain in the world. I hope that we all bring you some comfort during this time, knowing you are NOT alone, and we are
with you.

** It is what is sustaining us … Vester … it has to be - because we couldn’t do this alone. I promise you that.

Our dark days of our soul is upon us (again) … and I only pray that I am strong enough. I find myself extremely weak right now.

Love you,

Moe**

With all of my love,
Vester

Dearest Moe,
You are going through probably the most painful time of the year now with holidays coming up. My advice would be to go ahead and celebrate Christmas in a subdued way. You must, for Amanda’s sake, and for your own return to normalcy, although normal for you will never be the same.

**You can say that again 😦 … Amanda and Greg don’t want to have decorations or a tree or anything. They both already got their Christmas gifts … mine is coming. Amanda doesn’t want to wake up on Christmas and open gifts … life is so hard - our hearts are just broken. We will get a tree for McKayla’s Place … and I got solar Christmas Tree Lights. **

I pray for you often and for your family. I am holding you up to the Lord.

Thank you my friend … thank you from the bottom of my heart - how are things going for you … there is more than just our sorrow in the world - we all have our crosses to bear don’t we 😦 Loving you … Moe
Love,
Lissa

Dearest Moe: I have been thinking about you lately and wanted to say sorry I haven’t been around. I have been in a slump lately, but I am back. I am praying for you.

**Thanks Lori … are you ok? This time of year is so hard on so many people isn’t it. It is so hard … I shall keep you in my prayers my friend.

Not only is Christmas coming - but KK’s 14th birthday is Dec 20 … dread thinking about it … I am not strong these days – very weak … I only pray I can be strong enough to face this horrible reality.

Huggles, Moe**

Hugs, Lori

**Thank you StratusRose - how are you feeling with that wonderful miracle growing inside you … I remember I was so happy being pregnant … just loved it.

God’s blessings and thank you for praying and reaching out … I need it desperately.

Hi Moe,
Praying for you as we traipse this Holiday Season without our babies. I got this email from a friend. Sounds like a nice way to remember our children. Your solar tree sounds nice also.
Held annually the second Sunday in December, this year December 9, The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.

The Worldwide Candle Lighting is a gift from The Compassionate Friends to the bereavement community allowing us all to join together in unity to remember and honor the memories of all children so they may never be forgotten.
Believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe, the Worldwide Candle Lighting creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone. Hundreds of formal candle lighting events are held and thousands of informal candle lightings are conducted in homes as families gather in quiet remembrance of special children to always be remembered.

The Worldwide Candle Lighting started in the United States in 1997 as a small Internet observance but, as it has been embraced by the bereavement community, has swelled in numbers as word has spread throughout the world of the remembrance. A memorial message board is available during the event at TCF’s USA website compassionatefriends.org/. Thousands of postings are received each year from all over the United States, as well as dozens of other countries, with many messages in foreign languages.

For many of the years of the Worldwide Candle Lighting, the United States Senate has joined in its observance through the unanimous passage of resolutions declaring the second Sunday in December National Children’s Memorial Day. TCF/USA appreciates our government’s understanding of what the Worldwide Candle Lighting means to so many.

The Worldwide Candle Lighting gives bereaved families everywhere the opportunity to remember their child . . . that their light may always shine!

NEW PAGES FOR MCKAYLA …

**Here is the letter we got from Fr. Rich who was with McKayla for hours until we reached her in the hospital and then stayed with us for hours before we left. He gave her last rights **

A Tree in Memory of our McKayla

Wow, Moe. I’ll bet it’s a great comfort to you that KK had a good priest there with her in her final hours when you couldn’t be. I think that’s a great blessing.

Moe: Thats a beautiful letter by your pastor. I hope you can find solace in his letter. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. My prayers are with you always.

Hugs, Lori

❤️ **Hi All:

McKayla’s 14th Birthday is coming up on Dec 20. Please email me (maureengeisinger@msn.com) a Birthday Greeting for her and I will Share it with everyone on her Birthday Page (mckaylageisinger.virtual-memorials.com/main.php?action=view&mem_id=8668&page_no=3**)

She was one day late entering into this world. Definitely too early for her to leave it.

Please keep us in your prayers as we journey through some of the darkest days that we could ever imagine possible. We thank God for the support we have been getting, the emails, cards, phone calls, visits, we are even receiving meals still (MEG!!!❤️)…

Your love and compassion will never be forgotten… never have we witnessed such compassionate friends, even strangers (too many not on this list)…you are there to listen when our hearts are bleeding … because it is when you allow us to bleed and respond back with caring and compassion to our hurt, we get respite from some of the incredible amount of pain that we live with daily. Anyone of us who knew McKayla - will never be the same!

The one thing I can say is we have always appreciated each other in our family - we always knew our girls were gifts from Above… The one thing that is amazing about the suffering of losing a loved one - especially an incredible child like McKayla, is the God is present in it in a way that he is not in moments of Joy …I still don’t feel McKayla, nor have I dreamt of her … but I have seen God … working through this unbelievably painful time-through the support of our community, family and friends - almost 9 months into it …

I was thinking today ---- 3 months to the one year anniversary … wow - can you believe it???.. TIME DOES NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE does it?

Greg, Amanda, and I can’t wait until this holiday season is done … it is like her friend penned on her website a few weeks ago - that resonates so strongly every day for us:

“An early wakeup call at Pinkham Notch amidst a blanket of white, How dare the sun shine, the birds chirp, had no one told them?”

… it is too much to bear without her!

Blessings Be to you all;

The Geisinger’s

Dear Moe,
Wow! It’s been a long time since I posted. It’s so amazing that people continually write, pray and truly care about you and your family. God is so good! I know this a horrible time of year for you. I cannot even imagine. There are no words. Just know that I think of you often and am still praying for you and your family. You will forever be in my heart. What a great human being you are. Not to mention a beautiful mother. Hang in there. God is carrying you, that’s why you can’t see him right him now.
Much love from - mom4truth

Moe, this may sound odd, but I think of you…your daughter…your family, when I wake up in the morning, and when I go to bed. (well, and in between):o Your daughter has been in my prayers since these threads began…and I just admire your strength…your willingness to let God take over. I ‘see’ that in you, every time I revisit this thread. Please know that you’re always thought of.

Dearest Moe:

How are things going? I have been depressed lately, but am getting along well today. I cannot imagine what you are going through my friend. I too am wishing for a fast holiday season. I never really cared for the commercialism of Christmas. Its gone way too far imho. I’m thinking next year we will give to families who need help instead of our extended family members and or abused children. Have you thought about doing something in memory of your daugher?

Praying for you Moe, the move took me away from the Internet for a few weeks but I have been thinking about you and praying for you as Thanksgiving pasted and Advent started.

On this Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception my you find peace that your wonderful daughter is in the loving embrace of Mary.

Peace,
Mary
