I’m retired now but when I was working there was a colleague who was from Uganda. He told me he didn’t like it here in the US because black people here were always ridiculing him, whether it was certain mannerisms, his accent, where he was from etc, he had lived in the UK for a number of years and had met, and married an African American woman over there and they had returned to live here. He said even his wife eventually started to poke fun at him, and if it wasn’t for his kids he’d be on the next plane back to the UK, I felt sorry for him because he was a nice guy.
