Awesome! So show me a female Catholic priest of Bishop. Was Pope Joan really real then? šŸ™‚

Friend, as I understand the legendary ā€œPope Joanā€ was to have been pope sometime in the Middle Ages…I think her legend surfaced in the 13th century probably thru anit-papal satire that was took seriously and took on a life of it’s own…as legends do from time to time.

Modern historians and religous scholars now claim it was fictitious…though it has endured but more as ā€œuban legendā€ than historical fact.

They are allowed to speak to thier minds esp about sin. Which is what ppl practicing homosexuality are doing… sinning. Its sick and disgusting.
ā€œGay and lesbian people have families, and their families should have legal protection…A constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages is a form of gay bashing and it would do nothing at all to protect traditional marriages. We are all tied together in a single garment of destiny…I can never be what I ought to be until you are allowed to be what you ought to be, I’ve always felt that homophobic attitudes and policies were unjust and unworthy of a free society and must be opposed by all Americans who believe in democracy.ā€ Coretta Scott King

If these pastors you mention want to involve themselves and their churches in politics then they should give up their tax exempt status

Show me a male mother, and I’ll show you a female Priest.

Show me a male daughter, and I’ll show you a female Bishop.

If you can do the impossible, then I will too.

What you want to see makes no sense. It’s like complaining that you can’t breathe in space. What isn’t possible isn’t possible, and no amount of crying will change that.

The ā€œroyalā€ ā€œweā€ friend Mickey…no one in particular…but the ā€œimaginaryā€ person WE all embody in one way or another…surely you understand the use of ā€œweā€? If not…and assuming you are not being intentionally obtuse…hope you realize it’s being used in a very very general way.
Yeah…that’s my point. Perhaps it is true for you…but don’t generalize the rest of us into your imaginary people…or conclusions.šŸ˜‰

Sad to say, but I think businesses like Target are just trying to find ways to boost sales by catering to what is a hot issue in the news.

I would not be surprised to see more businesses jumping on the ā€œgay marriageā€ bandwagon to try and boost sales in the fatering economy.

What is happening to this country, and so quickly?

I wonder if they gained more homosexuals who support gay "marriage’…than they lost heterosexuals who don’t.

I know they lost my business. 😃

You would think they would invite less controversy by being neutral. Loss of customers (no matter how small) leads to less profits. It’s almost as if they are purposely trying to ruin their own chances by being blatantly political.

Who knows what people are thinking these days, if at all; but it seems to be almost like a frenzy.

I wonder if they are paying any attention to Chick-Fil-A.

The gay agenda is a losing one.

If they think that, they need a new marketing director.

No one was avoiding Target or boycotting Taret because it was ā€œpro-gayā€ enough. It just ā€œwas.ā€

Now, they will lose business over the stance, even if it is a small amount of business. The avergae joe already shopped there, so this gains them very little.

I can’t imagine for a second any amount of market research would indicate this would increase sales from people who previously said ā€œI don’t cae for Target, but now given their stance on gay ā€œmarriageā€ I am done being indifferent!ā€

It has to be ideaological, or something else, in my opinion.

Well I did end up shopping there yesterday, but interestingly enough wasn’t too thrilled with the selections. I think I’m done with that store just based on finding what I need easily, which is the only point of going to those big ā€œone stopā€ places.

My only ā€˜issue’ was the implied claim that the Catholic Church does not discriminate on the grounds of sex. It does.

You do realise that the ā€œmen as priest onlyā€ rule came from Jesus and not the Church don’t you?

Don’t count on it. There is growing acceptance of gays in our country. BTW, the CfA crowds were NOT a referendum on traditional marriage.
