Yeah, the fox has that side-long look…

We were also taught to build anything from the inside out. If you’re doing a head, draw the skull, and then the flesh and features, and only then the hair! Reduce the hair to basic shapes before you go for the details.

Even a book on drawing cartoons will help with anatomy and action poses. Walk before you run, and all.

Have you seen Gundam X? Underrated series IMO; it didn’t become much of a success then because it was on the same time slot as that of Evangelion in Japan. Perhaps now Gundam fans will take a second look at it and see it for a good (if not great) series it really is. Something’s wrong—I’m not seeing the pic, OR buttons, or avvys—just the Dreaded Red X.
 
I know it shouldn’t be happening but it’s weird.

I can now see the second pic you just posted (LOVE the blond guy in the foreground), but not the first!

Aww! The first guy is my best character. Yeah the blonde guy did come out pretty nice. What do you think about the anthros?
 
I just watched a show called “Rainbow” from funimation. It’s about these 7 kids who go to prison in the year 1955 and pretty much have only each other to care for. The guards beat them, the doctor is a pervert to the children, and one of the main characters was sexually abused by the head of an orphanage. Did this really happen in Japan in 1955? I only watched two episondes. I wouldn’t say the show glorifies sex but considering that there is some extremely strong content in this show.

I haven’t drawn anything in ages because my work space was being ‘worked over.’ I missed it; it’s good to be back.

This colored pencil sketch was done from a photo by my cousin. I’m thinking of making HIM a character in some fic or other (the lizard, not the cuzz). My sketch (took abt. 20 minutes) in no way does justice to the incredible mosaic of this iguana’s back and jowls, but…

That’s pretty cool. Your cousin is a decent artist. I have a hard time with colored pencil.

On another note I just watched Ruroni Kenshin (now called Samurai X) and it was a waste. Not because the show was bad, but because Sony took it over and the completly redid the dub. they even changed the names. Yahiko is called “yoshi”, Ms. Karou is called “Kaori” and instead of calling kenshin “manslayer” they call him “slasher”. Worst, the voice acting is off. I’m sorry but why did they have to redo everything? It’s been totally ruined.

When I wasa kid I used ot watch this show on toonami and I loved it. Now, it’s just not the same. anyone know where I can legally watch the original dub?

Samurai X—as I understand it—is totally different from RK. I loved the RK series so much I bought it right through the Kyoto arc.

Is it the same voice cast? Lex Lang and I-forget-his-first-name Hayworth?

Do places like Blockbuster rent anime? That’s the only thing I could think of. I miss Toonami too.

Nah dude. It was the same story, episodes, and everything. Just totally different voice cast.

For me, I like the Sony dub better. Probably because that’s because that’s the one I saw first. I think it depends on which you saw–the Sony one or the Media Blaster one. BTW, the voice for Kenshin in both Sony and Media Blaster is the same. The Sony dub actually came out first also.
 
Did it? I never knew that. Well the media blasters one was better anyway.

Anyway I drew a picture again. I just figured out how to use thumbnails so here ya go.
 
The Sony dub is shown outside the U.S., and I think it was also for the U.S. market but Sony never released it there. Here in the Philippines it’s shown a number of times already.
