Zelensky’s interest is corruption in Ukraine and per Burisma, info is conflicting. Biden has said he’d refuse to testify on the matter.

A NJ representative just switched to the GOP. He also doesn’t believe in this imoeachment matter.

What they are doing is a lawful part of our system. Calling for and accrepting foreign governmentinterference is not. It is anathema. Our founders were very wary of that corruption…

His interest is corruption in Ukraine, plus he is or was a new president, only taking office in 2019. He might not have been aware of some things, he is afterall, a TV actor and comedian.

One would think he might likewise lose being a Republican in that deeply blue state but there may be some Republican areas.

It’s good that some people have values and do the unpopular some times.

IF there would have been any corruption that Obama was responsible for, the republicans could have started their impeachment process. They did not. Conclusion: “there was nothing impeachable”. The REAL corruption on Trump’s behalf was caught red-handed, and he is going to get impeached.

You guys are really pathetic. Bringing up Obama, who served his TWO terms, without any scandal. Trump violated many parts of the Constitution and is being impeached for small handful of them. Emoluments clause anyone?

So we have to rely on people who weren’t there, who didn’t actually witness the President allegedly asking Zelinsky “to investigate the Bidens only, for the sole purpose of, helping me to win re-election”, because that’s what the President is being accused of.

So what? President’s are allowed to ask their foreign counterparts to do things. What he’s being accused of is requesting the investigation solely for the purpose of ensuring his re-election, which no one can attest to.

Okay, let’s pretend that this could happen:

A sitting president asks a foreign leader to investigate a political rival, also asking the foreign leaders to publicly announce that they are doing such investigation before any crime has been discovered.

Does this rise to the level of “appropriate circumstances” you mentioned in which it is acceptable for a president to ask a foreign leader for favors?

Wait…we were told that we had to investigate Trump vis a vis Russia to determine if a crime was committed. Are you now claiming that this was wrong to do?

Before you start hurling insults to those who differ with you here,know it’s against forum rules to attack anyone personally.
Having said that, yes the Republicans could have chosen to impeach Obama for any number of reasons,some concerning others just as petty and baseless as what the Dems have chosen in impeaching Trump.
This sham has lowered the requirements for an action that was intended for serious and egregious actions by a POTUS.Not something,anything to shame him due to basic dislike ,etc.Pathetic and shameful!
