Some seem to conveniently forget the Republican response, including McConnell’s comment about their #1 priority, after Obama got elected.
Secondly, some seemingly either do not understand the Constitution’s mandate of the House’s right of oversight or they just don’t care what it says. Again, e.p. does not extend to closed House Intelligence depositions or hearings, so repeating that nonsense on this simply does not make it true.
Trump has made it abundantly clear that he views the “rule of law” as an obstacle to be surmounted, plus he has repeatedly spouted the nonsense that he “ can do anything I want as president” in accordance with Article II. Obviously to most I hope, it does not say that.
I guess some here will have to decide which is more important: Trump or the Constitution? Also, I guess they’ll also have to decide whether basic Catholic social teachings are important or whether they can be ignored as well? Maybe they should check out what the “Seven Deadly Sins” are within these basic Catholic teachings that Trump has perpetually done, and then maybe decide whether they really matter.
