I assume you chose a position whereby God must reveal Himself to you visibly or else you refuse to have any trust in Him in who He says He is?
The Apostles knew Him better than the rest of us. Saw Him, Heard Him, saw what He did and yet they refused Him too.

I think everyone needs to conceive the very concept of existence of God mentally. God is consciousness as we are. Hence it is possible and in fact I think it is very simple.

We cannot know with any certainty the un-observable,
Sure we could, you know your conscious, or do you have another understanding of this conversation. What about love or morality.

How about the air your breath, you certainly expect your next breath, if you hold your breath, you will certainly believe in air.

🙂

Maybe he’d like to have a REAL conversation with Jesus as you might do with anyone else standing in front of you, or even online.

👍 As said earlier, may the force be with us. 👍 Little unsure about what that force is as I’m reading, but there’s a “force”. 😃

A voice through the wilderness, or just thin air.😦
Long as its not dark too. What of the darkness. Do you think man has always been predisposed to have a fear of the dark? What do you make of that?

I’m not sure about that one and how to answer it. I ain’t too smart you see. I’m sure one of the other clever people on here like you will though.

We don’t have to be too smart. Just smart enough to let go and let God.

I do think that dark is an on-going issue.

When He speaks to me and i can see Him, i most certainly will.
I do this often, in fact yesterday here, I assume others know what I mean by “see”. In your situation do you mean literally see, or does this mean “know”?

Yes, literally see and/or hear Him. What is wrong with needing that i ask? I am always here for Him if He wishes for me to believe. I never go out so He can come at any time He wishes, at His conveience.

What do you mean by see?

You forgot to add “…and returned back to Him once more…”. 🙂

They saw His miracles. They saw Him as fully human but doubted His Divinity even before their very eyes. But His Resurrection united them once more and they returned to Him, believing.

Can I doubt someone even though He raised the dead? Maybe.

But can I doubt someone who raised Himself from the dead and ascended into Heaven, after all He had done and said? No.

Both, and when I think or pray I have to admit I’m in conversation with God pretty much all the time. There’s a conscious connection even when in the lower state of unconsciousness.

To me prayer thus communication is formal or a relaxed part of life.

Of course. But they needed a catalyst to bring them back to Him. I only ask for the same, or similar. I don’t even have to touch His wounds as St. Thomas did. Just a a tangible voice or vision of Him. He could even send a representative of His if He likes. A saint perhaps, to speak me. My guardian angel too.

Is that too much to ask a God for ?

A conversation in which He replies back to you? In a tangible and realistic way.

Of course not. He did appear visibly in human flesh to save us. Even visible He was doubted, until the Resurrection. So after you seen Him, then what would you like Him to do? A miracle to believe too? What next?

He did appear to the saints because they truly did their best to follow Him among all the suffering they undergone, the latest I believe was Saint Faustina. Why did you not believe then?

What have we done to reach God to expect Him to meet such a demand as if He can be summoned at our whims & pride? But why would God have to lower Himself to billions of others asking the same question who did nothing to get close to Him?

I wanted God to appear to me too before I can believe Him, like yourself. A voice, a sign, a vision, anything. But why would He do all that for someone as me when all I offered was a threat to reject Him if He do not succumb to my demands?
