I don’t think it would be a good idea to make a friend out of thread. They might fall apart.

Is a website really a place? I mean, does it take up space? I mean, let’s get methaphysical for a moment.

I am a first-year pharmacy student, so, yeah. I have an exam tomorrow on OTC products (not the most riveting subject matter: studying for it has been sp hard).

What do you study?

Good luck!

I am majoring in Political Studies, specialisation in Islamic and Arab political thought. Weird choice for a Catholic, but I picked it for an array of reasons. (These do not include interest in Islam or conversion to Islam).

Thanks. Any prayers would be much approached (this is the most difficult class I have this quarter). I also have a research and statistics exam Monday that I can only really start studying for after my exam tomorrow.

Honestly, it is not a weird choice for a political science major given the relevance of the Islamic world in politics. Anyone dealing with world politics should be versed in it.

It is something to be proud of. It reflects hard work and dedication.

At least, this is what I tell my friends, who are always upset when I choose not to go out in order to study.

It’s really the only thing I have to be proud of. I am not really good at much else other than school.

I am also trying to maintain an A average. I take great pride in it.
You and your academic achievements. Back in my day, we were C average students, and we LIKED it.

I should point out that, other than my first semester in college, all of college, I either had an A or B average

Hello I am a catholic revert. I got confirmed as an adult in 2015. I am 27 years old. I work with special needs people. I enjoy reading books and outdoor activities. I love to discuss Theology and religion. Meeting new people, traveling, and trying new foods/drinks I enjoy. I am looking to meet catholic people to connect with! 😺

Hey I’m Mark, 39, from Toronto, Canada. I’m a cradle catholic who came back to the church in my early 30s after being away for years…long story. I still struggle with faith in many ways, but I know I need God for various reasons.

Anyways, I work as a proposal writer for a large insurance company here in ‘the Six’. I’m working towards my CPA designation right now, too. When I’m not doing that, I love watching movies, reading or listening to music. I’m also big into personal fitness, too (i.e., running, lifting weights). I was supposed to do a 1/2 marathon in Montreal this weekend, but that got moved for obvious reasons.

I LOVE travelling when I can, though in the last few years it’s mostly been various road trips in the U.S. I’m hoping to road trip it down to Louisville, KY this summer if this lockdown ends before then…we’ll see.

Anyways, I’m happy to chat or email with anyone here…this lockdown really is starting to become rather lonesome in many ways. Plus it would be nice to meet some new friends, Catholic or otherwise.

Peace,

Mark

No one from Asia here?

Few years older than the OP. Female. Former medical student. After medicine - joined a different faculty in which I took up psychology, sociology along with literature and politics as minor ( University of Wollongong, Australia).

My ongoing illnesses have caused a great obstacle in my life. Still, I am fighting.

A Christian convert, I found “refuge” in Mother Mary. Without the Rosary prayers, I feel void.

Likes - football, cricket, sci-fi movies but I can binge watch cartoons too. Currently, self studying Latin. Exploring the bygone centuries is my great pastime. A bookworm that I am, I usually love to be on my own but of course, I look out for friends who understands my introversion. 😊
