Interesting Mrs. Boone, who at the time of recording was 100 yrs old (now 107 years old) discusses that her family where the only family that did not get sick from during the 1918 flu outbreak. Mrs Boone states that her mother gave all the children 1 teaspoon of soda in water to make their bodies more alkaline.

Australia is starting to experience a spread quite quickly. An infected career working in an aged care home has passed it on to a few aged. One has died. Another doctor has been infected by a patient. There Is also a case like those couple in USA where point of contact is unknown and a mystery .
 
My thought was that these viruses spread more in winter, so their peak point would be at the opposite time from that in the Northern hemisphere.

Which is unfortunate for them, as that means it will be harder for them.

Apparently there really are people who think that eating garlic or smearing themselves with sesame oil will help. The French page even explicitly states that consuming cocain does not protect against the coronavirus.

Sounds reasonable and proactive since they have the highest number of cases, and the declaration gives them access to emergency funding etc.

Mendocino County declared it a public health emergency and they don’t even have any cases, zero.

I read the baby is very healthy, which is expected based on what we know from China.

Pets are a worry, hard not to snuggle up with your dear pets and dogs are known to lick their owners without asking 😉 .

A friend of mine swears by a drinking ginger & cayenne mixture. I never ever would have guessed anyone thinking cocaine was a preventative, creative marketing by an enterprising dealer?

There is a cruise ship off the California coast with 17 people positive atm. In Australia two doctors caught it at a radiology conference. It is mutating into a stronger strain. That is to be expected though.

I hope and pray those guests on the cruise ship are allowed to dock and get off.
At some point soon, people will realize they must carry on as best as possible. The sooner the better.
Half of Americans have that mind set anyway…so…
…thinking life is best per individual choice…within normal everyday acceptable reason of course.

Slovakia has it’s first case. What is worrisome is that infected man has not been abroad and as such had to be infected by someone else inside the country. Fortunately, infected man seems to be feeling better than before and it seems he is going to be fine.

Brno in Czech Republic, where I study, had it’s first case when American student apparently got the disease. After some panic, public was assured that everyone who came into contact with her is isolated and monitored.

And I am starting to feel a bit skeptical about my roommate going to see Hollywood Undead and Papa Roach today. And he’s uneasy about my flu…

EDIT: Apparently Prime Minister of Slovakia asked Slovak Conference of Bishops to limit number of Liturgies held in Slovakia and asked people to consider not attending them in huge numbers. I don’t get how would this be done, unless Bishops want to grant dispensation from attending Sunday Masses to everyone…
