Again, this is a topic on the ‘organisation’ (or people) behind the throwing out of the Pachamama statues, not whether it was right or wrong.

FYI I didn’t particularly like the idea of them being in the church either.

In that case, its also not about him (individual) giving talks. He is not the organization mentioned in the OP. So as you said, let’s keep it on topic. The topic is not about him , that is another thread.

Oh come on. At the moment it looks like the ‘organisation’ (notice the inverted commas) is little more than him and a friend.

It’s a topic about the people who were behind this incident, and he is one of them.

Your post suggested we stick on topic so let’s take your posts advice and stick to the topic. The organization mention in the OP is not mentioned in that talk you cited. Now if they are, that would be on topic.

An update on our ‘hero’ friend from Austria. He is in the USA now. Apparently gave a talk yesterday at the TFP Washington Bureau on ‘his heroic exploits in Rome’. Wonder if some of that donation money went towards his flight?
Oh brother. It just looks so bad. 😣 He’s being blown waaaay out of all proportion. Like he risked his life or something. Ridiculous.

What of Catholics who believe that the prohibition against contraception in the third world is a shameful travesty perpetrated by Pope St Paul VI and subsequent Popes? What argument do have against them?
I can’t quite work out your position on this Emeraldlady but all believing Catholics abide by the truth of the abomination of contraception. Contraception is an abominable act directed at the heart of the Holy Trinity , that in whose image all families are made

And off topic, I speak as one who has committed this but repented

I think it’s because these days we’re so lacking in heroes that when one comes along, we want to celebrate

I can’t believe my reply to Aquinas11 was flagged and then taken down. I literally just replied that his post quoting me, doesn’t prove my original point, that his post was off topic, wrong.

How is that offensive to anyone?

“all believing Catholics abide by the truth of the abomination of contraception.”

They believe because it was told to them by a Pope and Harry Stotle says

“I would be careful about what you claim is the extent of the authority of the Pope and how far it applies. You might be drawn into the error of defending some pretty bad actions by men who have been popes.”

People who argue for the use of contraception in 3rd World Countries to save women and children from starvation and violence, think that the Popes statement is a ‘bad action’.

You can’t pick and choose what to accept and what to reject in Papal teaching, only based on your personal opinion.

I’ve been reading @HarryStotle’s posts carefully and do not believe that is what he was saying.

Something similar happened to me with the same poster in an other thread. I am even wondering if s/he is one of the moderators.

It would certainly be highly unethical if moderators acted undercover while also being very biased in favour of anti-Pope Francis posters!!

I guess I don’t see why this young man giving interviews necessarily means his actions were done for publicity. Publicity follows because of his actions as what usually happens. Do we know that some of the donation money went toward the flight or are we just guessing?
