Blue House Says Bolton Book is “Distorted” and that He May be Schizophrenic

Bolton has certainly talked of drastic measures, dropping bombs on Iran and maybe North Korea. So, he can be pretty extreme. Sure, take his word for all of this.

High deficits is one of my big complaints about him. Dont agree with anything else you listed.

Republicans give their leaders a remarkable free pass.
Lol and democrats don’t? I remember criticism of Obama being labeled as racism while people fawned over everything he did. I even had a gay friend try to convince me Obama should win because he was so handsome and his posterior looked great. No joke.

Man we know vastly different people. The democrats I know fawn over their leaders.

Not surprising. Republicans give their leaders a remarkable free pass.
Oh, please. The Democrats have a “squad” of freshmen representatives, two of which are overtly anti-Semitic in comments and The Democrat majority cant bring itself to condemn anti-semitism in their own ranks. Another one makes racist comments.
Meanwhile, a Republican member make white supremacy remarks and immediately loses all committee assignments and lost a primary challenge a few weeks back.
Do you think any of the squad will lose a primary?
Progressive Democrat mayors oversee American blacks Have their rights abused over and over again, and keep getting re-elected.

That’s strange. Usually making white supremacy remarks helps wins Republican primaries, but maybe that’s just in the South.
I think it tends to work better when there is some amount of plausible deniability about what was meant so that one’s support is not composed only of those that have that leaning. Idioms are great for this. Ex: There had been some neighborhoods in the past that were simply labeled as “exclusive.” This label could be used as a way to say that people of color were not permitted to buy within the area. Some people recognized this. Some people did not.

The republican in question (if I am thinking of the right person) was a bit more overt in his remarks.

That said, I can’t say that I know enough about antisemitic symbols and phrases to necessarily recognize when someone is using them. I have noticed though that political disagreement with Israel is sufficient to some for the application of the label.

The Democrats have a “squad” of freshmen representatives, two of which are overtly anti-Semitic in comment…
Anti-Semitic in that they are for the Holocaust or in that they criticized Israel?

If 120,000+ dead Americans don’t convince you, likely nothing well.
Thay makes as much sense as saying that Trump has saved 2.18 million Americans.
Man we know vastly different people. The democrats I know fawn over their leaders.
When was the last time a Republican KKK member was reelected. Or a Republican mayor caught smoking crack reelected. Etc, etc…

I even had a gay friend try to convince me Obama should win because he was so handsome and his posterior looked great. No joke.
Well your friend is entitled to his opinion. Interesting one at that.
Man we know vastly different people. The democrats I know fawn over their leaders.
And the Republican’s I know fawn over their leaders.

That’s strange. Usually making white supremacy remarks helps wins Republican primaries, but maybe that’s just in the South.
Yeah. That’s how Tim Scott got elected.

White supremacy is a form of identity politics. It is the stock and trade of the Democrat Party, intended to divide in an attempt to increase their power.
If one claims to be a constitutional conservative, one cannot be a racist of any kind because it is the opposite of individual rights. Progressives, on the other hand, are focused on government power, not the rights of the individual, so identity politics and the racism of intersectionality are acceptable to some.

David Ernest Duke (born July 1, 1950) is an American white supremacist, far-right politician, convicted felon, and former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. He has advocated Neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories like Holocaust denial and Jewish control of academia, the press, and the financial system.[3][4] The Anti-Defamation League has described Duke as “perhaps America’s most well-known racist and anti-Semite”.[5]

Duke was a failed Democratic candidate for state legislature during the 1970s and 1980s, culminating in a campaign for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination. After failing to gain any traction within the Democratic Party, Duke left and successfully gained the presidential nomination of the minor Populist Party.

In December 1988, he became a Republican and claimed to have become a born-again Christian, renouncing racism and anti-Semitism.[6] He soon won his only elected office, a seat the Louisiana House of Representatives. He then ran unsuccessful but competitive campaigns for several more offices, including United States Senate in 1990 and Governor of Louisiana in 1991. His campaigns were denounced by national and state Republican leaders, including President George H.W. Bush. He mounted a minor challenge to President Bush in 1992 and has continued to run for public office through 2016, though his campaigns have become increasingly marginal.

Anti-Semitic in that they are for the Holocaust or in that they criticized Israel?
Anti-semitism is not confined to these two, but can certainly include them.
The accusation that Jewish Americans are not loyal Americans, the comment about “Benjamins”.

So 1988, after renouncing racism.
Yea sure. I don’t believe it for one micro-second.

Keyword and distinction:
In December 1988, he became a Republican and claimed to have become a born-again Christian, renouncing racism and anti-Semitism.[6]
He has and still continues to:
He has advocated Neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories like Holocaust denial and Jewish control of academia, the press, and the financial system.[3][4] The Anti-Defamation League has described Duke as “perhaps America’s most well-known racist and anti-Semite”.[5]
This Leopard (David Duke) has not changed his spots.

This goes to the simplistic idea that all Republicans are pure constitutional conservatives, where I doubt such a person truly exists.
They are not, or we wouldn’t be seeing such out of control central government spending, but the general principle of the primacy of individual rights is a foundational principle outlined in the constitution.
It is this principle upon which the outrage about a George Floyd and others should be based. Their individual rights were violated by agents of government.
