As soon as President Trump started having daily briefings to the American people his ratings shot up to the highest in his presidency.
That is, after continual media bad mouthing over 3 years, this supposedly foolish, inarticulate and incompetent president became more and more popular with the American people.
Let’s be honest. The political media wanted to shut these live telecasts down because their mis-leading and hateful reporting of the president’s abilities was being exposed. The idea that President Trump is so outrageous he shouldn’t be listened to is simply cover for the political reasons why the media decided not to show these briefings any more.
A bunch of manipulative liars. I hope they get politically smashed again. They certainly deserve to be.

Well certain media did stop screening the briefings so there is obviously a reason.
It is also obvious that those screenings were contributing to a rise in Trumps approval rating and it is clear this is at odds with what these media outlets have been trying to achieve in an incredibly biased and uncharitable fashion for the last 3 years.
1 plus 1 is 2 and you don’t need to be too much smarter to join the obvious dots here.
If these anti Trump media outlets actually did think Trump was embarrassing himself in these briefings then they would not have stopped screening them. Instead they stop the actual screenings and then spend hours trying to embarrass him through biased commentary on what they decided not to show any more.

At the outset of the crisis, Trump got a small bump. Over the course of his briefings he has ground in approval for his handling of the crisis, and in approval over all. The more he spoke, the more he fell. Now the bump is gone.
