Outside the US we’ve been totally shocked by Trumps baiting and taunting and criticising of the New York governor. It isn’t editorialising. It’s actual video and tweets from Trumps very mouth. You’d have to be seriously blinkered to think that kind of carryon is worthy of a national leader.
again, I DON’T think it is what we should have in a national leader. However I would suggest you are likely only seeing ONE side of that story. Cuomo has also baited, taunted and criticized the President. In the past, these baits/taunts/criticisms were done in a gentlemanly manner, and there was a (reasonably) fair press to moderate between them. Those times are gone.
For example: I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve heard of an English statesman being asked about a possible affair he was having, and his answer was “There are some questions a gentlemen doesn’t answer, and some questions a gentlemen doesn’t ask”. Well, here in America, the Democrat gentlemen don’t have to answer to such questions (aka Biden today), meanwhile the Democrat press will report as true any such allegation against Republicans as the Gods-honest-truth (aka Kavanaugh).

Everytime he tweets it is to taunt or bait someone or other. Why does he keep on doing that? Is he addicted to drama or something? Doesn’t that sense of responsibility to the welfare of his country come into play as it has in every other country? Could he be so shallow that he keeps doing that baiting thing because he is defended for every outrageous thing he comes up with? Where is the demand for a true leadership among his followers?
Not everytime, but your point stands that it is far too often.
Why does he keep doing that? Well, in my opinion he is a megalomaniac, and add in that much of the media is effectively working FOR the opposition party…he needs to take HIS megalomaniac message directly to the people instead of having his message twisted by the media.
Others have proposed that he is playing the media, having them chase their tails reporting on what he said meanwhile he gets his agenda through (judges, judges, judges, tax cuts, regulations cut, economy is booming).
