What is with this forum’s obsession with homosexuality?

It’s a direct reflection of society’s, the media’s, and homosexuals’ ‘obsession’ with homosexuality. If it’s being talked about every single day in the news, is there a reason it shouldn’t be talked about here?

It in of itself is not a sin, nor is it harmful to a person’s spiritual health. Homosexuals must be treated with kindness, love and compassion. For some people the teachings of the Lord for loving one another are forgotten and judging and discriminating are done instead in the name of Christianity. It is no wonder LGBT youth fear coming out to their families and friends, and suicide rates are higher among them within hateful environments.

I love the ‘God Bless’ at the end of chastising and, yourself, sitting in judgment. Living contrary to God’s will and the ways He designed us is always harmful to our spiritual health, and I think most Christians are not judging or discriminating at all, because they’re aware they also fall short of the mark. However, we most certainly ARE allowed to speak to BEHAVIORS. That’s not what thou shalt not judge is about.

I am curious as to why there are twins where one appears to be homosexual and the other is heterosexual. If homosexuality is purely biologically / genetically rooted, how that can be, when twins have identical genes?

I realize that anecdotes are not proof but example. My closest gay friend has a Lesbian sister. Aha! This indicates it’s biological right? Except that both of them were adopted as infants, have ZERO known relationship genetically and in appearance don’t even look like friends, much less siblings .

BTW I also know the parents and they seem perfectly normal…nice married couple, very traditional blue collar family. No religious faith but certainly kind hearted and lovely people.

I have to imagine something in the environment or in their upbringing led them to this lifestyle.

And I will note that it was the Democrats who controlled both the House and Senate of Congress in the early 1990’s with them becoming a super majority when Bill Clinton got elected to the presidency in 1992. I’m not surprised that they were trying to make people “gay” back then since they are still trying to do it today, except that today they are trying to do it to everyone, including Americans, by social engineering. Just today, they were promoting so-called “same-sex marriage” on the Price is Right with a “gay” couple in military uniform.

I think you make a good point about Gene Robinson. The Episcopalian Church was so smug in its “tolerance” and it’s “openness” to having the first open homosexual Bishop that they failed to ask some of the essential questions like is this a man of good moral character to lead his people? Is his life an example to follow? Is he a man of prayer and a follower of Christ?

What they got was a sadly unstable man with substance abuse problems, who’d abandoned his family to “be himself” i.e. a practicing homosexual. I don’t think his tenure as Bishop was a highlight of the Episcopalian faith. I was not a Catholic at the time and was enrolled in an Episcopalian sponsored spiritual direction program so this issue was front and center. What Mr Robinson did in his private life (sexual activity) but let’s face it, had he been a straight male who’d abandoned a faithful wife for some young twinkie along with his addictions and other evidence of instability, there is simply no way he would have been elevated to that position.

Gay is the new “black” for purposes of the Left.
