Hello Everyone,

I’m 26, single, living in Northern California, and I’m a Latina girl.
I went to art school and I’m a designer. I grew up very close to
the Catholic faith, and I love it! In my free time, I enjoy going
to the young adult church group, and I also teach catechism
to elementary school kids.
I’m very close to my family, and I love playing with my nieces
and nephews 🙂

Hello Layperson and Mely.

@Mely: Welcome to CAF. I’m in Northern California as well!

@Layperson: If you’re anywhere near D.C., the Arlington Diocese in VA is very strong and faithful and there are a lot of Catholic singles out there. I just moved from that area, I really miss my parish.

Welcome Havard! You liked Cardinal Weurel?
I don’t know much about him; I didn’t go to Mass in the District often. D.C. is part of his Archdiocese, however NoVa is in the Arlington diocese, which, although a stone’s throw away, isn’t even in the same ecclesiastical province.

You’re right! He has jurisdictiin in my part of Maryland so I thought maybe your area also.

Hi Layp3rs0n, Thank you. I’m happy to join this forum
with single Catholics!

Hi Havard, That’s nice you are from Northern California!
Do you recommend a parish where I can meet single Catholics?

There’s not that many single Catholics in the parish that I go to,
so its difficult for me to meet people with the same faith and morals.
🙂

I know a few. What city are you living in?

Maryland. Very liberal area. Looking for a single practicing Catholic woman around my age here is like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

Ah. Well I know it’s a little drive, but I would suggest heading down into S.F. then, to either St. Dominic’s or St. Vincent’s.
Thanks! I don’t mind the drive, I think it will be fun doing something different!

That’s how it is here in N Cal too. The young adults in my parish are scarce. There are either married couples with children or seniors, but you barely see single around my age (mid-20s/thirties) in my church. There’s a young adult group, but its more geared towards the late teens crowd, which I don’t seem myself to fit in anymore.
