Probably nothing? That’s California, as you said you don’t go against “California values”.Now, I’m not arguing that they didn’t have a right to fire him. But I wonder what they would do if a teacher was promoting same sex marriage or women priests in the classroom?
What comments are you referring to?Honestly you would think his comments on Islam with Dr. Marshall would be enough to get anyone fired
We may condemn the action. We may not condemn an entire faith’s population. They were very obviously discussing a particular act - the act being the killing of 300 Catholics.
Does the Church require us to speak charitably about the act of killing 300 Catholics?
You can speak up without being rude & disrespectful.I don’t believe that being Catholic means we sit back & don’t speak up.
Your post seems to chastise others for a lack of charity while providing a lack of charity. It’s a bit confusing. So this is the “My Problems With Tim Gordon” thread masked as “Unbiased Report of Catholic School Teacher’s Dismissal”?
I struggle to see the productive nature of this discussion. Adults can either like Tim Gordon’s brand and message or not. What concern you have with it and how charitable or uncharitable the man is just is beyond me. The guy is likely in enough pain without needing these soft “I told you so” references waxing all theological about his lack of charity on the CA Forums.
