I find it amusing when people become so wrapped up in minutae. Yes I can see similarities between self righteous indignation over a screen name with self righteous indignation over a tellytubby or cartoon character. Its a sort of black humor I admit, I’m laughing at the failings of the human condition because it’s better than getting depressed by it.

No I said if you insist on taking certain bible passages literally then god lies. Personally I don’t take them literally, I see them as parables. There is a difference between these two statements:
“God is a liar.”
“If you take X literally then God has lied.”

Or it could be a subtle insult thinking readers wouldn’t pick up on it.I think TLALOC selected his name so that threads like this could take place and attention would be focused on him.
He could have picked “Mr. Pagan” or other such things, but it wouldn’t sound nearly as cool as a mythical, pagan Aztec diety.
He already said he didn’t pick Tlaloc because he worships him, just because it sounds cool.
Acutally it would make a great name for a D&D character.
