Tlaloc:
Tlaloc enjoyed the suffering? Kevin, you do realize this was a mythological entity and not a real person, right?
Re-read the site I’ve provided where it was described that the more the children wept, the more TLALOC was pleased. Anthropomorphic descriptions are common in religion.

Tlaloc:
See what I mean about amusing? Also Tlaloc wasn’t reviled in the Azteca culture.
Why don’t you read those websites provided on your namesake before you air your ignorance in public.

As long as you understand it’s not a real person I’m happy. You were starting to worry me.

Kevin, I spent years reading up on the aztecs. It was an interest of mine. For someone who claims not to trust internet sources you’re putting a lot of faith in the ones you like (and of course none in the ones you don’t).

Tlaloc:
Haven’t I already answered this? I found the aztecs interesting. My hometown was rainy. Aztec names are usually unreserved on most forums. Tlaloc is shorter than Quetzalcouatl, Chalchihuitlicue, or Tezcatlipoca (as examples).

That’s all you baby, I’ve never read anything about Tlaloc being specifically connected to child sacrifices.

Well we all have different senses of humor. Personally I find it grimly amusing. Much like the attacks on Tinkywinky and Spongebob Squarepants.
1 Yes, but Quetzalcoatl (the feathered serpent) was a beloved and popular pagan God and a much better choice than “he who urinates” TLALOC who demanded screaming and wailing children to be drowned for his appeasement?

2 Now that I’ve supplied the websites that demonstrated TLALOC demanded screaming hysterical weeping children to be drowned to appease his pedophile/sadist like cravings, how do you feel about your namesake?

3 You find what amusing? You chose a namesake which thrived on sacrificing weeping children to appease its pagan values and you equate that with Tinkywinky and Spongebob Squarepants? You need to visit St. Lukes Institute to have your sense of humor evaluated.

Going into denial and projection are we?

You keep forgetting the part where your own web sites contradict you as shown by at least two people above.

I find it amusing when people become so wrapped up in minutae. Yes I can see similarities between self righteous indignation over a screen name with self righteous indignation over a tellytubby or cartoon character. Its a sort of black humor I admit, I’m laughing at the failings of the human condition because it’s better than getting depressed by it.

Kevin Walker:

Uh, no. Oh wait thats a denial. Uh yeah!

Seriously, Kevin, your obsession with me is kind of flattering but it’s time to give it up.

There it is the charge of self righteous indignation:rolleyes: Never once do you think about the fact the it might seem to be an affront to God or Our Lady,of course not.You seem to think yourself that it is okay to smash other people regarding their faith and religion. You said God was a liar in Lisa’s truth thread,so you did not feel like that would offend either? When Catholics deal with God it is not comparable to a cartoon character. You said I seem to recall that you do not believe in the devil.Well we know he exists and I for one am concerned about you the person behind your call name.Because your being misled in your beliefs and have hardened so much its scary.Your description of an unborn child you likened to a mole or cyst:eek: The lack of empathy for the unborn, the disabled (terri schiavo) is sad.The views you hold to be true are depraved and I would ask you to do me a favor, please go find an orthodox priest and talk to him and let him give you a blessing.God Bless

If God has a problem with me he’s more than capable of doing something about it. The affront (if any) is to you, not God, who just may have more important things to do than worry about a screen name.
You seem to think yourself that it is okay to smash other people regarding their faith and religion.
No actually I don’t. But you keep misunderstanding me so you think I do.
You said God was a liar in Lisa’s truth thread,so you did not feel like that would offend either?
No I said if you insist on taking certain bible passages literally then god lies. Personally I don’t take them literally, I see them as parables. There is a difference between these two statements:
“God is a liar.”
“If you take X literally then God has lied.”
When Catholics deal with God it is not comparable to a cartoon character.
You aren’t dealing with God, you’re dealing with me. The way you’ve chosen to deal with me has certain reminscinces of how others have chosen to deal with Tinky and the Sponge. I find that funny.
You said I seem to recall that you do not believe in the devil.
True, it’s hard to believe in the devil unless you ascribe to Christian faith.
Well we know he exists and I for one am concerned about you the person behind your call name.Because your being misled in your beliefs and have hardened so much its scary.
Well that’s very sweet of you, I’m worried about you too.

No, but thank you. I understand you don’t like my beliefs. I don’t personally like yours either. But, hey, such is life. You’re free to believe what you want. Of course if you post information that is in fact incorrect I may feel compelled to repudiate it. I like accuracy. Feel free to call me on anything you think I’ve said that’s false.

Denial, projection, and now narcissism.

Denial, projection, and now narcissism.
A narcissist would start a thread about his own login name. I didn’t now did I? Of course since I have such an adoring fan in you I didn’t have to so maybe that’s not a fair test.

Can one be narcissistic by proxy?

So you see yourself above all that human failings, like a condenscending and patronizing pagan deity?

More denial, more projection, and much more narcisissm.

Psalm89:
I think TLALOC selected his name so that threads like this could take place and attention would be focused on him.

He could have picked “Mr. Pagan” or other such things, but it wouldn’t sound nearly as cool as a mythical, pagan Aztec diety.

He already said he didn’t pick Tlaloc because he worships him, just because it sounds cool.

Acutally it would make a great name for a D&D character. 😃
Or it could be a subtle insult thinking readers wouldn’t pick up on it.

Kevin Walker:

I see myself as above that failing, like a well educated smart *** who studies people.

I certainly have my own failing and I don’t get testy if others find them amusing. Actually one of my best friends refered to my “Plethora of
Idiosyncrasies.” I found the comment quite enjoyable.

Kevin, honestly I’ve had plenty of experinece playing with real psychologists for fun. Having you spit out a few buzzwords at me isn’t really going to bother me.

You may as well start in on how I haven’t moved far enough up Mazlo’s Heirarchy of Needs. Or you could just find something worth discussing…
