Still, he lived and died as a child.
No one can make that fact go away. It’s a fact.
Sadly yes, and we know that. These repeated chants seem to be your only way to respond to questions and concerns. You appear limited in defending your assertions, especially since you have skipped over the deeper questions I’ve asked you. Another fact- the boy could punch.

Wow. I’m…speechless. :sad_yes:
I am too, actually. About this entire thread. Of course, it seems that no one read where I said that I’d prefer that no one would have gotten hurt. So let me repeat it:

I’d prefer that no one would have been hurt.

But someone died here. An innocent person died in this story. A child who was walking back from a convenience store with Skittles and iced tea is dead. How many more times should I say it? Because I’ll type it all night.

I’m not wishing death on anybody, please don’t misquote me. If you’ll read one of my previous posts, you’ll see that I call for Zimmerman’s arrest and jailing, not his death. I think the death penalty is barbaric for a first world country. But I don’t think it fair that a child who was minding his own business on a public street is dead, while the initiator lives and walks free. More than that, it seems as though many in this nation are pre-occupied with painting this young man in a negative light after his wrongful death.

“Nobody knows the truth but the police” is one of the most laughable statements I have heard so far. You’re not familiar with police corruption? Uhh…it was pointed out numerous times (and cited) that this police force was guilty of previous acts of racism. Let’s not forget that one officer “corrected” a witness about who she had seen and heard screaming. You can check the Orlando Sentinel for that evidence. I’m not linking it again.
So very often when a black person is killed by a white person, or even when said person suffers in some other way due to an incident involving a white person, even something relatively minor, people come out of the woodwork and start accusing everybody and his brother of racism. All these death threats directed toward Zimmerman and, if true, the innocent, terrified elderly couple who live at the incorrect address someone tweeted as being Zimmermans, are actually the ones who are clouded with the blind rage of racism.
And yes, I called the elderly couple innocent. THAT’S who is totally innocent in all of this.

Or maybe crucifying someone based on media “facts” without due justice?

There is not much that I have read here or in news media that would lead me to believe that mankind will not be stuck in this state of turmoil indefinitely.

Feel free to list those “deeper questions.”
I remember none.

Sure, the elderly couple are innocent. Uhh…they don’t really have anything to do with the central tenets of the story though. It’s a shame they’re being bothered, but they’re a branch off from the centrality of the story. And yes, it’s unreasonable for people to be threatening an elderly couple, but I believe that anyone bringing up hoodies or Trayvon’s clothing or saying that later in life he probably would have committed some crimes, is making a racist statement. Guess what? I’m wearing a hooded sweatshirt right now because I just got back from the gym. I’m a Caucasian from a relatively privileged background. No one would ever feel threatened by me on the street, and I think it’s terrible that in this world an innocent person could be profiled and judged by their clothing and for their skin color.

Yep.

Justice can’t be started until there is an arrest, which can lead to a trial. A killer is roaming free, and when I last checked his weapon had not even been taken.

Legally speaking, self defence is permitted, but there is such a thing as reasonable boundaries. If a kid with Skittles and ice tea tries to physically attack you, physical retaliation with fists is reasonable defence, but shooting an unarmed person is excessive force. Considering that Zimmerman pursued Martin and that on the police call he used a racial epithet, that leads me to a certain conclusion. Zimmerman should be arrested and prosecuted

Rest in peace Trayvon, the world is in shock

I think that everybody who is threatening Zimmerman and, as an extension of that, threatening the elderly couple (if they aren’t black) is behaving in a racist manner.
This would not be an issue at all, if Zimmerman was also black or if Zimmerman was the one who was shot and died.

This case must have dramatically changed and new evidence brought to bear since last I tuned in. So now Zimmerman is the victim and Martin the perpetrator of a crime?
According to some (many?), yes.

Z was just a good ol boy with a gun,
trying to protect himself from those
“suspicious” folks who gathered around
his land. Or so say many on these threads.

An arrest cannot be made without probable cause that a law has been broken. Its called “due process”. Its how things work in this country. 🤷

An unarmed kid is dead from a gunshot from an armed man. That’s probable cause to make an arrest

Apparently there are some here who wish that it was Zimmerman who died. Its kind of sad, actually.

Agreed.
