Sam (if I may ;)) It is useless to argue with someone who denies the facts as officially transcribed because they know Mr. Zimmerman’s and Trayvon’s motives.
It is also useless to argue with those that believe something is true, because Zimmerman says it is true, like this way Zimmerman returned to his truck after 2 seconds. If we wish to stick to the facts, we should insist on sticking to all the facts.

The last time the transcript was posted here, parts that implicated Zimmerman were edited out.

They might as well have been there, they saw it on YouTube! 😛
I have to agree. Utube sees all.

Yes indeed.

I completely agree with you.

The parts that were left out were in the link, provided. I had read them before the quote was posted.

I think certain people here are wrong to convict Mr. Zimmerman. Justice is not based on statistics or mob rule.

Standard practice for all neighborhood watch,
developed by Nat’l Sheriffs Assn:

Observe, report, do NOT follow.
Also quoted by document many times in this and last thread.
The following may be unadvisable, but the crux of this case is the extent of the following which you have re-framed to produce your desired outcome, which is the guilt of Zimmerman.

A pdf copy of one of the first responders’ police reports was available on Drudge earlier but seems to have been taken down, and I’m having trouble finding it. The report makes mention that Zimmerman was cuffed and escorted to the police station for questioning, and his gun was impounded. No mention about the spent round still in the chamber, but it did mention Zimmerman had massive grass stains on his back and blood on his face and the back of his head, consistent with his story that he was attacked by Martin. Trying to find another copy of the report online now.

Yes, but I will add that it is also wrong to acquit him. I will be curious to see how this trial plays out, and yes, I would bet a large sum that there will be a trial even if there shouldn’t be.

At best, he will be changed forever, colored by the scandal of this event. At best, the other way, he will be convicted and serve time for a lesser charge. That is how I see this unfolding.

Most folks (72% of Americans) simply want this case investigated properly, as it was not done initially.
You are actually correct. I typed that wrong. Thanks. 🙂
So most folks don’t want a proper investigation. Most folks seem to want a lynch mob. No probable cause, just arrest the guy.

Many are also talking a trial, so not only are they not worried about probable cause for arrest, but also they don’t care if there is enough evidence for trial.

Neighborhood Watch?
NOT TO FOLLOW or PURSUE.

Who trained Zimmerman?
Anyone? Or is he a lone wolf?

Zimmerman should not have followed for an instant.

What trial?

What do you think Mr. Zimmerman meant when he replied “ok” to the dispatcher’s statement they didn’t want him following the suspect? OK means yes.
It is also used to dismiss something you don’t want to answer. Every parent knows this. Audio does not reveal actions. What we know is that Zimmerman said “okay.” On the tape, one can hear the tone of this word. We also know that he refused to go meet the police at the neighborhood mailboxes. We know that he was not willing to set a pre-arranged meeting place to meet with the police. We know he left his phone number so that he could arrange a meeting only when the police arrive. Sam looks at these known items and concludes Zimmerman was cooperative. I use this, combined with the catching of the breath over the rest of the conversation and speculate that this was a man that did not know where he was going to be three minutes from then.

Completely agree because George was going to stay on the move.
