Barry was the name he answered to most of his life before he decided to enter politics; Soetoro was the name he adopted from his stepfather before he decided to take his father’s name, allegedly for political purposes. Most of his life he was know as Barry Soetoro.

Not so much an insult as an example of his political intransigence.

Just like Dubya was intransigent in some things, and even Trump. Was not trying to be OT or “disrespectful,” but was just being sarcastic about their true natures.

I do not have to be respectful of a President I did not vote for and who helped push through the evil of Legally Sanctified Gay Marriage through the courts and who defended Planned Parenthood to the last syllable.
Dubya as well for the Iraq war and other things. Trump in many things as well (though he is better than the previous two----that I will admit).

The discussion can now continue without me and I will not post another remark in this thread. 👍👍
You are right. You do not have to be respectful or even polite to anyone. No where does it say to respect those in authority over you.

When did he say that?

I know of a recent statement he made on privacy which was delivered on Wednesday 8 March 2017 at a Boston College conference on cybersecurity. Parts of it follow:
Your post is more accurate in wording mine in meaning…No matter what a judge asks you, you have the right to remain silent.

It doesn’t really matter if you think it’s alt-reality, they are currently investigating the Russian connection.
That’s the purpose. There is no proof for starting one so what they do is scandal and make a reason for it. In the end they will say " the investigation couldn’t find evidence of the FACT that Trump had CONNECTION with Russia and Russia interfered with the election."
This is the globalists ruining the society. The guys leaking in Intel agencies, globalistsv100%.

Not quite. In some cases choosing to remain silent can constitute an obstruction of justice. You can’t be forced to testify against your self or your spouse, but one could be forced to testify against a friend or loved one. It’s also possible that someone unintentionally makes information supporting a case against another by taking a photograph and posting it or leaving some other digital trail.

That means that when Comney say “any one of us” he refers the Intel employees not any American citizen…

True, but the lack of civility and plain courtesy is the rule these days rather than the exception. Sad, IMO.

I watched the full video of his most recent comments at the security conference today. Perhaps we are talking about two different videos. In what I saw he wasn’t talking about the intelligence community. He was talking about people in the USA and the tradeoffs between privacy and security. I’ve linked to the full vehicle below. The relevant part is 47 minutes 20 seconds into the video if you want to jump straight to it.

The audience to which he was recently speaking were the participants of the Boston Conference on Cyber Security which is open to anyone that wants to pay the $350 to register to participate and not limited to members of the intelligence community. Comney generalized and addressed his audience as “members of the private sector” or “you in the private sector” multiple times.

“In this great country** All of us** have the expectation of privacy…the government cannot invade our privacy without good reason review-able in court. But it also means that with good reason review-able in court the government can invade our privacy…even our memories are not absolutely private in America. Any of us can be compelled in appropriate circumstances to say what we remember, what we saw. …There is no such thing as absolute privacy in america. That’s the bargain. We made that bargain over two centuries ago.”

Still no evidence from the administration or even comment from DOJ. Ooopsie Donnnie…

Does this also include the connection to the Clinton campaign?
Of course not! Why would they do that? They let her get away with destroying evidence, talking to Russians (this is a crime now) and nothing happens to her. So dishonest!

With half of the population in disapproval of any one President in office, one wonders if things can be otherwise.
