Not to mention the Somalians. We could do without them. Since the good people of Minneapolis already have their hands full, let’s at least not admit any more from that country.
Why then should we allow immigration at all? Should all of us transplants go back to where we came from? Should I go back to Ireland or Germany?Yes, everyone’s Nigerian friend is vitally important to this country. Quick question:
If we steal tens of thousands of “the best” from a country that is already suffering, how does that help the tens of millions left behind?
Who said anything about Nigerians, but we allow immigrants and there is no reason to exclude people from Nigeria if they have skills we need.In a nation of 300 million, I find it hard to believe that our survival depends getting that one more Nigerian.
Those contradictory reports are whether he said “****hole” or “***house”. Not exactly an earth-shaking disagreement.This is “alleged” not proven. There are multiple contradictory reports of what was actually said.
Thank you for arguing that we should admit the poorest, least-skilled immigrants. I had almost given up on this forum but at least someone is taking Jesus’ words to heart.If we steal tens of thousands of “the best” from a country that is already suffering, how does that help the tens of millions left behind?
Good question. What is the obsession with immigration? And even giving that some immigration might be a net benefit (arguable) what is the obsession with nigh unlimited amounts of immigration? And why do they always HAVE to be from the worst places?Why then should we allow immigration at all?
I find it hard to believe we need anyone from Nigeria at all. Maybe want (arguable) but need? Nah.people from Nigeria if they have skills we need.
Actually, there is a disagreement that he ever used that language at all. Thanks for lying though. Proves what you really are.Those contradictory reports are whether he said “****hole” or “***house”. Not exactly an earth-shaking disagreement.
Ahh yes, Jesus is a materialist SJW. Been reading the Gospel of George Soros, have we?Thank you for arguing that we should admit the poorest, least-skilled immigrants. I had almost given up on this forum but at least someone is taking Jesus’ words to heart.
This is probably one of the most ignorant comments I have ever seen in my life. The parish I attended growing up has a Nigerian pastor. We have a shortage of priests, so he fulfills the job very well. They are blessed to have him. Ignorant people like you would have parishes close down rather than realize that there are highly skilled people available in low income places.I find it hard to believe we need anyone from Nigeria at all. Maybe want (arguable) but need? Nah.
What poor, misguided soul is disagreeing at this point?Actually, there is a disagreement that he ever used that language at all.
So if there is a shortage of skills, you are arguing that we should just suffer without them rather than allow immigrants. Who cares if some people can’t go to confession because there are no priests, it doesn’t matter if they go to hell. Not your problem. So what if there is a shortage of surgeons, better for people to die than to allow an immigrant who has the skills to perform surgery.So we have a shortage of priests. Seems to me that itself is a problem that needs addressing, and perhaps the worst way to address that problem is to ignore it and try to cover the damage by importing priests from a place where they would seem to be needed far more than they are needed here.
Anyway, this is just another version of the “My Irish grandfather was an immigrant and he fought in WW2!”
Wonderful, I guess we should just assume every immigrant from every nation is the exact same…
to dig into your points,As to high turnover, I’m not an insider who would know all the facts, but one could consider:
quality people may not wish to work with Trump;
people taking contrary positions and without the skills to play to him probably get short treatment;
I don’t think he is smart enough to recognise good advice on its face.
Would the Republican Party be able to offer you alternatives to Trump at the next election, or must they support the incumbent?
The skill is questionable. Many foreigners were educated in foreign schools that aren’t so great. They have degrees that don’t mean much. I assume you aren’t talking about skilled labor because we don’t need Italian stone masons.We benefit from skilled labor. The old country benefits from remittances and knowledge transmission.
Obama, among other things, called Libya a ****house. No one batted an eye when the Dear Leader said that. But they all swooned when Trump said it.Those contradictory reports are whether he said “****hole” or “***house”. Not exactly an earth-shaking disagreement.
I foreigners I have hired have all had American degrees. You have a problem with American degrees?The skill is questionable. Many foreigners were educated in foreign schools that aren’t so great. They have degrees that don’t mean much. I assume you aren’t talking about skilled labor because we don’t need Italian stone masons.
Some immigrants engage in import-export businesses, transferring the knowledge they learn in the US to the foreign country. Dollars sent overseas always come back in one form or another.What knowledge transfer? The person lives and works in the US. He isn’t bringing knowledge unless it is how to pile trash outside your home or how to let buildings fall into disrepair, which we don’t need lessons on. We can do that all on our own. Also if he is sending money home then we are losing money in our economy.
All the left wants are more voters. Their culture of death is preventing their demographic destiny.Why are Leftists obsessed with having immigrants come here specifically from the worst places? It hurts both the home country and our own.
Even if he said it, your comment would mean the elite left are ignoring the minority part of the equation because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Big surprise.He said he wanted people from Norway and Asia. Wait… Asia? But…but…but… Muh racism! Muh racism!
One of our admissions officers said she couldn’t admit students from certain countries “because they don’t attend real univeristies”.The skill is questionable. Many foreigners were educated in foreign schools that aren’t so great. They have degrees that don’t mean much. I assume you aren’t talking about skilled labor because we don’t need Italian stone masons.
Not an ignorant comment at all. We have an African priest. I’m glad to have him. But most African immigrants aren’t priests. They aren’t fulfilling any particular shortage.This is probably one of the most ignorant comments I have ever seen in my life. The parish I attended growing up has a Nigerian pastor.
What are most African immigrants?Not an ignorant comment at all. We have an African priest. I’m glad to have him. But most African immigrants aren’t priests. They aren’t fulfilling any particular shortage.
Which countries are those. I know there are some questionable universities in Somalia.One of our admissions officers said she couldn’t admit students from certain countries “because they don’t attend real univeristies”.
