Yes, Trump has thumbed his nose at settled convention.

"After failing repeatedly in court to overturn election results, President Trump is taking the extraordinary step of reaching out directly to Republican state legislators as he tries to subvert the Electoral College process, inviting Michigan lawmakers to meet with him at the White House on Friday.

A source with knowledge of the trip said that Mr. Trump would meet with Michigan’s Senate majority leader, Mike Shirkey, and speaker of the House, Lee Chatfield, late Friday afternoon. Both lawmakers are Republicans who have said that whoever has the most votes in Michigan after the results are certified will get the state’s 16 electoral votes.

The White House invitation to Republican lawmakers in a battleground state is the latest — and the most brazen — salvo in a scattershot campaign-after-the-campaign waged by Mr. Trump and his allies to cast doubt on President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s decisive victory."

To say that it is scary would be a serious understatement. It is simply a treason to subvert the foundation of our republic. And as such it should be punished accordingly.

That would take evidence and a lot of boxes to be ticked. But if he did ask them to do something unethical like give him electors he did not win, and if he offered them something of value, like a position in the next administration, then that would be the once case in which I would think a pardon should not be given, and all parties prosecuted. But that is a too many ifs to be worth any thing at this point.

I still think it is more likely to be made-for-TV drama at this point. Michigan will certify the vote on Monday. If it doesn’t, then maybe there is some cause for concern, but I remain hopeful the process will continue to slowly grind toward Jan 20.

Krebs apparently did have connections to Dominion and Smartmatic whether that matters or not, I don’t know:

Among Krebs’ sins, according to sources, is his decision to host an election night gathering at a northern Virginia office building — described by a detractor as a watch party. A document reviewed by The Post indicates it was attended by two staffers of Dominion Voting Systems, whose platform miscounted some Michigan votes.

You mean like Democrats did to electors 4 years ago?
You know, I’ll listen to Republican criticism, even from the never trumpers like Romney, of his tactics with legislators, but Democrats, after these last four years, have zero integrity on the issue of elections. Zero.

While I think it is time to concede and begin work on transition, it isn’t because he should have a sense of responsibility to Biden and the Democrats, after the despicable, underhanded actions these last four years, or their overt hypocrisy regarding the president’s actions since this election. He should do it out of respect for the American people and the republican system Democrats seek to destroy.

You linked story simply says he invited two Dominion people to a party.

Please provided evidence of “connections”.

I think we all know. In terms of the election, it means nothing.
Tucker Carlson reported last night that he offered Sidney Powell his whole show to provide evidence. Powell refused. In fact, according to Carlson, she got annoyed at his continued requests to provide evidence.

It’s time, today, to put it all out there. Evidence, evidence, evidence. If you got none, throw in the towel, and let’s make sure Purdue and Loeffler get elected.

Enough is enough.

The counter-point to that is, Tucker Carlson’s show is NOT a court of law. There may be reasons not to say what the evidence is. Sidney Powell, born in NC, does seem to know her stuff.

I know Trump’s team is taking flak and indeed, Tucker is.

Well, I don’t know that.

The last time someone gave
@TuckerCarlson
evidence it
got LOST in the mail…
That bears repeating, the last time evidence was sent to Tucker Carlson, it got lost in the mail, that part about Hunter Biden’s laptop I believe.

I’m not talking down Tucker Carlson. I just don’t know if a prime time news show is the place to expose the evidence.

Tucker’s show would be a very friendly and supportive venue, I’m sure you would agree, and while I understand the concept of holding evidence close to the vest until in court, the fact is Trump lost Georgia. Meanwhile, Michigan and Pennsylvania are out of reach without a stunning revelation of tens and tens of thousands of votes. Evidence to that would have leaked by now.

The last thing Trump should do is look like the senate Democrats who perpetrated their lie about Kavanaugh, and the Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) who continually lied about Russ conspiracy collusion. We demanded they show evidence. They couldn’t because they didn’t have any.

Let’s move on and win the Georgia senate seats. That’s more important at this point.

As I said in my next post, the last time evidence was sent to Tucker, it got lost by UPS or USPS. This hardly sounds secure.

He made copies. 😏 and is not in charge of UPS.
I also don’t think Tucker would lose Sidney Powell.

Your entire post is what the Jesuits term the logical fallacy ‘Tu quoque’.

I don’t care what you call it, it is a fact. The hypocrisy of the American progressive movement is on full display.
The difference between what Trump is doing and what the Democrats have done is Trump has used legal means, while the Democrats lied at every turn and tried to pervert the constitutional processes like the 25th amendment and impeachment to orchestrate a coup.
Like I said, I will listen to Republican criticism. In fact, I voiced it myself. But the Democrats have intentionally destroyed comity and they control deploy their dishonest media propagandists.

So call it whatever you want, but Trump is a saint compared to the Democrats and progressives who have acted is a disgusting way for 4 years.

ok. Then what?

I’m just going to call this post nonsense and leave it at that. You post too many buzz words and unverified opinions.

Hey abortion showed up on a thread in no way related or referencing it. Surprise!

Much more likely. Setting up a narrative for round two in 2024.

I’m holding out for the moment the election is declared invalid because it wasnt really Trump that ran, it was his evil twin
