Once you do not check that opt-out box, you are automatically put on a voter registration and given an absentee ballot. - you get that every year unless you opt out.
Citation needed. Now you’re expanding it, not only does not checking that box bypass any kind of verification, it now bypasses the need to request a ballot. It’s kind of weird there’s a whole portal for requesting a ballot. People who use absentee voting for the national election are getting one automatically for the runoff election. There isn’t anything spooky there.

No they do not need to show in person to get a license, they file online,
Not true. From the GA DDS site:

Identity and Lawful Status Requirements

  • Non-US citizens are required to present valid immigration documents in person at a Customer Service Center to prove identity and lawful status in the United States. Original immigration documentation must be submitted each time a service is requested pertaining to a driver’s license or identification card.
Note: Original immigration documentation must be submitted each time . So… no “mail-in” or online service for non-citizens.
Maybe the first time but the form does say for the immigrant on it. I would take that to mean foreign nationals and green card holders because they get legal licenses but I am not sure about the ID part of the form.

This year was a Covid-19 year and no one was going to the registry to get anything.

Once a foreign national or green card holder or ID has their license or ID, they only need to go back either 4 or 8 years to renew. There is no yearly renewal.

It is spooky if they did not see the little box that said they are have to opt out not to be included as a registered voter.

They are registered as a US voter when they might not be. They automatically got a mail in ballot and that is a problem. Legal citizens have a right to know, were those 2.2 million new voters all legal citizens or was there a problem with the form. - people not seeing opt-out.

Wearing a mask has become a political statement.

If you wear a mask, you are wearing a diaper on your face and are nothing but sheeple.
And the opposite is just as political except that if you don’t wear a mask you are responsible for the deaths of hundreds.

The truth is very likely on a spectrum somewhere in the middle where the masks might be helpful but the way they are being handled by people may offset that and create a nexus for the spread. That includes the false assurance that masks protect and so social distancing and other measures can be ignored or are secondary.

See how the binary view gets dismantled quickly and it also explains the data in the Heller video that mask mandates are not helping?

But do continue viewing it as red and black as was mentioned upthread. Attacking the blue or green view doesn’t entail the red view is correct.

Places like PA spent days after election day counting ballots received long before election day.
1.Many ballots had no names or postmarks.
And those weren’t counted. They verified every ballot before putting it in the machine. And this is not a reason for not counting any before election day.
  1. If there was nothing to hide, why did Pa election workers want to keep Republican poll watchers out?
In the words of Trump’s lawyer, “there were a non-zero number of poll watchers present.”
3.The main problem with Pa is that the election laws were changed by the Secretary of State and the Pa Supreme Court - an action in which they had no legal authority.
(1) A negligible number of votes that weren’t even counted until well after Biden was in the lead and (2) you’re basically looking for reasons to not count ballots submitted by real voters.
All authority regarding election procedures resides within the legislature of each state. Article 4 of the U.S. Constitution says: “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of choosing Senators”.
And many legislatures have delegated that responsibility to other authorities.

This selective quote-mining and reporting of half-truths (along with untrue innuendos) is getting tedious. You realize that this just has the effect of undermining all the claims of “fraud” and “stolen elections”, right?
If each is properly addressed then they should. However, that one or some claims are disproven does not mean that all of them are. They ought each be addressed sui generis.

Merely because none of those examples actually changed outcomes does not mean no similar recounts could. The fact that only a few recounts have been done (so not cherry picking because only a few cherries are currently ripe enough to pick) and since the ones that have been sufficiently ripened show an average of 6% change, what of a number of races that are closer than 6% and within a point or two? Could the results change then?

How do you know this is “quote mining” unless you can bring to the table a suitable number of other hand counts and audits that show these are merely outliers?

Well by that logic… seems something was up last week in college football because when my husband came to bed Clemson was ahead and when we woke up low and behold Notre Dame won.
Funny how Republicans are winning everywhere - what is it now like 12 seats they picked up in the House? But then you want me to believe that the same voters voted for Democrat Biden? That’s the second funniest thing I have heard since the election.
I think you underestimate how many Republican voters are turned off by Trump’s character and handling of the last eight months.

People had a different manner of expressing a political statement during the Spanish Flu in 1918:

Notice the difference between MI and PA and Florida. Everything went smooth in Florida with results in on election night, meanwhile in MI and Pa it is quite a different story.
It’s almost like Florida started counting mail in ballots 22 days before election night and republicans sued and obstructed in MI and PA to prevent any mail in ballots from being counted until election day after in person voting was done.

And yet no matter how many people ask you to explain why you think not checking that box bypasses eligibility checks you offer nothing. Whatever your intentions are, you’ve convinced me you’re just trolling.

Oh, I see. That makes sense, Trump received more votes than any previous president. And depending on this election, 2nd to 1st all time.

And yet no matter how many people ask you to explain why you think not checking that box bypasses eligibility checks you offer nothing. Whatever your intentions are, you’ve convinced me you’re just trolling.
Saying someone is “trolling”, etc. I believe is against forum rules.

It is easy to say that and provide no evidence that these 2.2 new registered voter are all indeed legal citizens when the forms that DMV put out had issues and very little has been done to check those registrations.

When legal citizens call for audit to confirms ballot are legal, your only response is there is no reason.

It’s crazy to me that we still need to rehash and explain these basic facts over and over again at this point.
We are now halfway through the month and over a week since we knew the result of the election. This week, every day brought more Republicans, Trump supporters, and foreign leaders who have accepted Biden as President-elect. I think we are almost as far as we will go on that, as some will never accept the election results, as happened four years ago.

So today, I was preparing for the Feast of Christ the King and Advent, which is right around the corner. It was a good exercise to recognize this time for the transient blip it is. Some attorneys will make some money. Some people will get mad. Yet time marches on as we approach the end of the year, and the beginning of a new year.

You’re starting to look like you may be trolling. You literally posted the refutation to your own claim before even making it. These people did request a ballot, they " checked a box to receive an absentee ballot for every election in a given cycle ".
now bypasses the need to request a ballot. It’s kind of weird there’s a whole portal for requesting a ballot.
Yeah, there appears to be conflation with a ballot request and voter registration. Being registered in GA does not result in an absentee ballot showing up at the door without a specific request to receive one.

This false claim has been posted in these forums for the past few months. The repetition of the claim appears invincible to correct information.

I am speaking as a Georgia voter. The presidential election is over, and my family and I all requested our absentee ballots for the January fifth election.

This year was a Covid year and no one was going to the registry to get anything.
Except… they are open for business. You just need an appointment to get in.
It is spooky if they did not see the little box that said they are have to opt out not to be included as a registered voter.
Only if you ignore the fact that non-citizens have to walk in, show their foreign identity papers, and only then get to apply or renew a license. Do you really think they’d go through all that for a driver’s license – which is legal for them to obtains – and then they’d just hand them a voter registration – which isn’t legal for them? C’mon, now…
They automatically got a mail in ballot and that is a problem.
No, they don’t. You’re making this up.
However, that one or some claims are disproven does not mean that all of them are.
So, we get to deal with every whackadoodle claim that anyone makes? Even once the putatively vaguely-reasonable ones have been dismissed? I think little green men from Mars voted for Trump. Maybe we should check for their ballots, hm?
How do you know this is “quote mining”
Because folks are picking the parts of reporting that fit their narrative, but are not quoting the parts of the very same reports that are asserting that the dynamics don’t affect the outcome of the election. In other words… “quote mining”.

Saying someone is “trolling”, etc. I believe is against forum rules.
Thank you for the reminder, I tried to avoid a direct accusation and only said they’ve convinced me. If it’s over the line I won’t be upset if it gets removed.

What we do know is that the are rollover ballot

The whole country was closed down in Match. Very few were going to the DMV. What is the Secretary of State talking about then?

From NPR
Nearly 800,000 Georgians, or about one in nine active voters, have already requested an absentee ballot, as state officials encourage the use of early voting to minimize lines at the polls for the November election.
According to data provided by the secretary of state’s office as of Wednesday morning, at least 582,000 are on a “rollover” list of voters who checked a box to receive an absentee ballot for every election in a given cycle. That designation is for voters who are over 65, are disabled are in the military or living overseas. Another 175,000 have applied for a ballot by email, fax, mail or hand-delivering an application to their local election office.

Yes they have to walk the first time they get their license but they do not come back every year to renew. - it can be up to 8 years.

The do automatically go on a voter registration unless the opt-out.

ould a person not see the opt-out square?
Sure. So a non-citizen forgets to check the box. So they will try to use the information for registration purposes.

Why do you think they will send the information when they see the person isn’t an eligible voter?

Why do you think the election clerks will process and approve the enrollment without verifying eligibility?
And why do you think the election clerks will cross-check 2 million new DMV registration forms ----- 1 million new DMV registration form since 2016.

This is why an audit is needed
Presumably there are laws against officias registering someone who is ineligibe. WITH penaties attached. So here is a burden on whoever signs off on that registration to do due diligence.
