Trump has 700K lead on election night and then he loses -yeah right.
Well by that logic… seems something was up last week in college football because when my husband came to bed Clemson was ahead and when we woke up low and behold Notre Dame won.

Really? So the court is not allowed to oversee at least whether executive actions that have a character of legislation are in fact being made only when the executive has power to make them?
No. There is no provision in the Federal Constitution for this.
(Hint - legislatures delegate such tasks to the executive all the time)
Correct. They delegate to the Executive branch exactly how things should go. No deviations without the express consent of the legislature is allowed! (Especially in the middle of the game. Democrats are famous for doing this sort of thing) Even if the courts were allowed to rule, it is the legislature that must make the legal changes, not the administrators.

Funny how Republicans are winning everywhere - what is it now like 12 seats they picked up in the House? But then you want me to believe that the same voters voted for Democrat Biden? That’s the second funniest thing I have heard since the election.

Courts do this sort of oversight all the time
And the judge ruled no one had been disenfranchised by allowing ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted. Example given by judge: two people mail their ballots on the same day. Ballot A arrives on Election Day and Ballot B the day after. How is voter A disenfranchised? Answer: he isn’t.

Case dismissed.

There is the constant insistence on letting law suits play out, but most of this stuff has already been addressed by the courts, in some cases, years ago. Georgia gets to run Georgia’s election. That is a matter of states rights. Unless the some federal law was violated or the method is unconstitutional, no one outside of Georgia has any say. They will conduct their recount. The count will be certified. The electors voted for will be chosen. That is how elections work.
The state legislatures make election laws that are supposed to be followed. It is not in the jurisdiction of state secretaries, AGs, governors, elections officials or judges to make election laws. Covid was used as an excuse to trample all over election fairness and transparency this year.

That is why there are challenges and for the sake of fairness these should all be allowed to play out.

The kind of disparagement and ridicule on here of anyone who even dares suggest the issue of election fairness and accuracy ought to be pursued is a soft form of the kind of attacks from left that occurred at the rally.

Do you seriously believe this country is going to be reassured about fairness when even questioning it is met with ridicule?

Some 72 million people voted for President Trump this election. I believe they have a right to know that the election was conducted fairly, especially since there are a plethora of apparently egregious violations committed by state officials that happen to be Democrat to “pad” the vote counts far beyond the authority of those individuals to do so.

I sat down for four hours last night documenting legitimate issues that require serious appraisal. I am up to about 60 in different states. I will continue recording as they come up.

Your ridiculing of concerns is mistaken both as an approach and in its effect. You think that by belittling these people who post comments you will bring them into line. Perhaps superficially, but not authentically.

That what happens when you count all the ballots.

Biden was ahead in Ohio and then magically he lost. Oh wait, not magically. In Ohio, unlike MI, WI, and PA, they counted mail in ballots first (hence big Biden lead) and then Election Day votes (hence Trump’s come from behind win).

Nothing nefarious.
If Biden is actually sworn in as President the following applies. 1. He will be an illegitimate President. 2. He will not be my President. 3. He should be impeached because of the corruption that he was involved in with family members (Hunter especially) when he was the VP. Sound familiar?

Absolutely. That is exactly what I did. I did NOT vote for Trump and I DID vote Republican down ballot.
Then you made a grave mistake in helping to place a mentally deficient old man in such an office. Seriously, how long do you think he will be able to maintain the pace required of the Chief Executive of our nation? After the 25th Amendment hammer comes down on him, (from the Democrat left of course) it will be the socialist Harris in charge. Thanks a lot.

How elections are run, even federal elections, is actually largely (though not always) a matter of each individual state deciding how things go in that state. This is another example of delegation., and why procedures differ between states. I tis not like the Consistution is the only and sole rule about how elections are run - much of the detail is in fact left to the states. and so is a matter of state law. That is why most of Trumps lawsuits have been in state and not federal courts.

If that particular issue were a matter purely of federal constitutional law, the state court would have refused to even hear the case.

Right. Ohio had a semblance of carrying on an election with clearly defined rules that didn’t change on the fly or carry over for days and days seemingly tied to who was or was not winning.

Nothing to raise suspicions in Ohio, or Iowa, or Florida or Texas. Clear rules with everyone following them impartially tends to reassure people regarding fairness.

It happens very often that a President has been of one party with a House and/or Senate dominated by the opposition. It happens when people aren’t totally enthusiastic about every single policy of the President adn want to keep them on a shorter leash.

BY the way, you want me to believe that Democrats were clever enough to rig the Presidential election without being sure that the Senate and teh House also went Democrat by rigging those votes too? Rookie mistake!

Yes, I agree to a point. What they cannot do is violate the Federal Constitution as they do it, and in this case ¶ they did.

Once again, only the state legislatures are empowered by the Federal constitution to decide what their election laws are to be. They made the laws and they should have been followed AS WRITTEN. The Pa courts had no business interfering nor did the Pa administrators have any business changing Pa election procedures (laws) by themselves.

That would be a MAJOR mistake for the country. The people must be reassured they have a system they can trust and right now we do not have one. President Trump must insist on validation.

I don’t see how you can feel so confident in a system so skewed against a sitting president. The Democrat party has done everything possible to undermine the Trump presidency. They threw everything they had at him and nothing stuck. Then they decided to burn America and blame him for it. They even blame him for covid-19.

They didn’t have too. They only needed a few key states to do the dirty work and we can see the result. Of course, this gives the national Democrat leadership plausible deniability. Come on, nobody can do this kind of stuff any better than the Democrats. It’s gone on for years, all the way back to Tammany Hall in NY, LBJ in Texas, and JFK when he ran.

You’re obviously . . . not receptive to an honest discussion. . . .

If a law isn’t followed as written - then the outcome is or can be challenged in the courts. I assume this one has been challenged. The courts then toss out the result based on the fact that proper procedure wasn’t followed. Has this happened? Yes or no?

And if it IS - what is the outcome? Pennsylvania’s electoral college votes are up in the air? And then what?A recount? A by-election? Either way, certainly the outcome of Biden being Presient is not going to change.

ETA - the latest I have seen is that Trumps lawyers have withdrawn their lawsuit challenging the result in PA. A nothingburger, as I suspected. Will you now admit that there is insufficient evidence to sustain the allegation that PA’s procedures are in at fault?

Of course they have to - we have all, over the course of the last handful of Presidencies, seen how nearly impossible it is to get much of anything done when the President is of a different party to the House and Senate. The term is “lame duck”, and not without reason.

I know. The plan worked and Biden will be in. The Dems didn’t really care about the Congressional races - they wanted Trump out at all costs, as did Hollywood and the media.

No real point in simply getting Trump out if they cannot reverse his policies and substitute their own as well. As Trump has tried to do, with varying degrees of success at the best of times, with those of Obama.

There actually isn’t any chaos at all.

The biggest element of chaos was the pipe that burst in the convention center in Atlanta that delayed counting 4 hours.
Which was initially reported as a water main break that turned out, according to FOIA requested documents, to be a small leak in pipe in a room away from the election counting area.

The disturbing part of this is that the pipe incident occurred at 6:00 am the morning of the election and was repaired within two hours. Yet the counting shutdown was called at 10:30 pm the night of the election.

Nothing to raise eyebrows over?
