of course not all the NY people
Agreed. Just as not all New Yorkers agree with their governor’s statement that prolife people "have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” (I don’t want to get off topic, but I still think “Um, did he ***really ***say that?” every time I read it.)

Of course, that same Governor Cuomo later said of Ted Cruz “And if he had any class, he would apologize to the people of New York." Maybe Cuomo could give us all some lessons in class.

Just yesterday, Mark Levin had this to say:

newsmax.com/Politics/mark-levin-donald-trump-ted-cruz-hillary-clinton/2016/04/08/id/722953/

Radio host Mark Levin blasted voters who are so opposed to Donald Trump as a presidential candidate that they would vote for Hillary Clinton, or refuse to vote.

He said those people are “not conservatives,” and are “frauds” and “buffoons.”

Today he turned himself into one of those frauds and buffoons.
If you read the article and listen to the video on the link, his reasoning is explained

I think Cruz is actually not that bad. What I am realizing though is that the Trumpers won’t vote for him. (or vice versa) So, it’s down to Hillary or Bernie.
You don’t Trump backers would be more likely to vote for Cruz in a general than they would Kasich, Ryan or Romney? Assuming of course Trump isn’t on the general election ballot.

Depends, as they are a diverse group. Yes for ones like Sarah Palin, no for ones like Rudy Guilliani. And that’s not even to mention Dems who voted for Trump in open primaries.

If anybody is trying to steal nomination, it ain’t trump.
Anything coming from redstate is 100% against trump.
No one is trying to steal the nomination from Trump, he just needs to get the required number of delegates to outright claim the nomination. If he doesn’t get what he needs through the primaries then clearly he hasn’t passed the threshold for winning the nomination, and it needs to voted on at the convention

I have a question for you. Your a huge trump supporter, one of the things you like about him is how he speaks without being politically correct.

Now when Cruz said what he said about New York was true. Why be offended then? Is it a double standard, or do you really stand by what New York City stands for when it comes to their morals and values.

Mind you, what nyc did in 9/11 was incredible, especially what the firefighters, cops and ems personnel did.

I’m not offended by what Cruz said. It’s just not a very smart thing to say, that’s all. Same thing as his line, “if donald trump was in the rear view mirror, I’m not sure which pedal to push.” The latter was much more offensive.

I shut off the news and threw my TV out about 20 years, so I never really heard Trump talk, so I was wondering what others think about his personality and character. I know that many conservatives like what he has to say about some social issues, like immigration, but his solution of social issues aside, does he have the right stuff if elected president?

For example, most past presidents had much political experience in dealing with political issues, especially in their dealings with foreign leaders, but Trump seems inexperienced.

Also, his popularity seems emotionally based, where he caters to the emotions of the voter.

Agh! Lost my post. Oh well.

What I was saying before noting the previous thread was closed is that I think Donohue has a point. To some, Trump is the “blue collar billionaire”. Maybe he really does share their thoughts, and maybe he doesn’t, but he tells it that way.

I have long thought Trump could make real inroads into the black vote if he does it right. But he’ll have to do it personally and appeal to the right motivations. There is virtually no difference between blue collar whites and blue collar blacks other than the fact that blue collar whites are more used to breaking with the Dem party when given a reason to do it. But this could be the time when a lot of working blacks realize the Dem party has nothing for them, just as a lot of working whites have in this election cycle. We’ll see if Trump capitalizes on that.
I think the larger problem for Trump is blue-collar Hispanics.

No, his popularity is not based on emotions, it’s based on America-first nationalism, a get-things-done pragmatism.
