I think trump expressed a very commonly held sentiment, an emotional feeling shared by many. We also recognize that policy is made with the brain, not the heart. Policy will bring the families in for interrogation, and maybe some photos and stories to serve as a deterrence to other families.

I don’t believe in torture or killing non-combatants, either. The US is a wonderful country, but yes, it does have problems. I think those ideas do betray the US.

Thank you for your polite reply. God bless you and your family.

I’m leery of anything “made in China,” and I’m willing to pay more to ensure more Americans have jobs.
I’ll bet that there are at least twenty things in your house (or the typical American house) that have been made in China.

And if not the final labeled product then some of the components will be from there.

A politically-motivated vandal in Washington State admittedly vandalized a Trump supporter’s car, slashing its tires and dumping rotten yogurt through its sun roof, according to a police report filed last Monday.

His full confession to the police, which was originally posted on the blog of lawyer and author Mike Cernovich, reads as follows:

I on the 11th day of the 4th month of 2016 did maliciously attack a hate symbol protected by the first amendment. After disabling the vehicle and dumping rotten food into the interior I feel I have improved the community and supported our nation’s values by stopping a promoter of hate speech. I do not wish to have ignorant bigots in my town and in a just world the person deserved what was received and the situation is made whole.

A person who’s purportedly against hate proves to be full of hate.

Okay, that’s funny.

Not wrong if you don’t mind having Hillary as president.
The question was whether or not Catholics are morally obligated to vote according to the CCC:
CCC 2240: Submission to authority and co-responsibility for the common good make it morally obligatory to pay taxes, to exercise the right to vote, and to defend one’s country.
IMHO, there is no moral obligation to vote for a candidate from one of the two major parties. I believe that if you wrote in the name of someone, you would have fulfilled your moral obligation to exercise the right to vote.

I agree with you. Write in the name of the person you feel is best suited for the job.

What horrors do you honestly think she’s going to bring to the American public if she’s president? She wouldn’t exercise unlimited power, you know. We aren’t a dictatorship.

What horrors do you honestly think she’s going to bring to the American public if she’s president? .
The horror of strongly supporting the right to murder an unborn child, the horror of strongly supporting SS marriage, and the horror of attempting to change our religious beliefs.

Don’t know if you were in the States when Clinton was president, or before. I was. Hillary is very much a socialist, her college theme was on Saul Alinsky. I hardly think that is a formula for the betterment of the US, although I see visages of it in the Obama administration. History of a candidate is important not just what they tell you as a presidential candidate. But, to each his own.

MODERATOR NOTE

This thread is wandering, please stay with the topic of Donald Trump’s campaign

The horror of strongly supporting the right to murder an unborn child, the horror of strongly supporting SS marriage, and the horror of attempting to change our religious beliefs.
But aren’t these horrors likely with any other leading candidate, including Trump?

I know there are. Some of them I use, and some of them I have discontinued using. I try to by American whenever I can. If Trump can keep more American companies in America, I’d be willing to pay more for the products.
