Trump's incompetence makes Andrew Cuomo's performance look better than it is

Requiring virus patients to be admitted to nursing homes instead of the temporary hospital and medical Navy ship sent to NYC for that exact purpose.

Accepting the help of Samaritan’s Purse when it was needed (except for they sent the patients to nursing homes instead!), and when the situation improved, sending them away on the grounds they were anti–LGBT. Which should count for 3 examples.

When were restaurants and bars closed? When were people told to stay home?
When were subways and busses stopped?

Covid-19 arrived in Europe around the last 2 weeks in January. There had to have been cases in February in New York. By March, New York had to have known they
had a problem. How did the cases multiply so quickly?

Cuomo has the highest job performance polls of any governor and certainly Trump.
The most recent poll with Trump and Cuomo was Cuomo 76% and Trump was 16%>

Simple really, herein lies the point many have tried to make, but have summarily been dismissed by Trump and his supporters.

By March, NY knew it had a problem, because it multiplied so quickly, because of the denial and inaction of Trump!

Well, Trump doesn’t live in New York. My beliefs are the mayor and governor realized they had a problem in February and did not begin taking action until
the end of March. By then, it was too late.

I remember the mayor and governor bickering over who had the power to do what.

Cuomo signing the executive order for nursing homes not being able to refuse recovering
covid-19 cases was a big mistake.

Trump does not live in NY? LOL. WHAT about the economy? Trump lived in NY his entire life, he is aware of the importance of NY to the economy.
Banking, finance, commerce, news and information. The center for centuries. California alone is the 4th largest economy, but so much touches on NYC. NY isn’t Oklahoma. Where what’s local is the story predominantly.
You get rid of states like NY, California, Texas and to a lesser extent a few others, and what’s left is a middle of the industrialized pack. A president cannot ignore NY

When the ship first arrived its purpose was for non-Covid overflow patients. A person had to pass a screening to enter the ship. It was much later that the ship considered seeing Covid patients.

And the hospital? And why did it take so long to sort out the ship?

Oh, yeah, that director of health in NYC…

Here’s a biggie for ya.Patients being released from hospitals into nursing homes ,not equipped to deal with the scope of care needed.,rather than places designated for this purpose thus unleashing this virus upon more vulnerable elderly.

But killing grandma now for the sake of opening the economy is alright? Seems someone is confused.

If anyone’s confused it’s you and your facile arguments.Nicehow you deflected from my statement re Cuomo failings.Try again

Trump didn’t ignore NY.He immediately responded tomAC requests for more ventilators to the extent that NY had an abundance.

Exactly! I can’t figure out if they want greater regulation or none
