we must do these three thing TOGETHER to be cursed ! it’s very clear for me! so to trust ONLY to a man is not sufficient to be cursed!

in the other hand our faith must be reasonnable. So if you say that one must not trust to a man, then since Bible has been written by men, you must not trust to Bible too! so your interpretation is bad because it’s not reasonnable

God Himself said it through His prophet Jeremiah. “Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the LORD.”
Will you next expound on “Call no man your father?” 😏

Or “If your hand causes you to sin cut it off?”

Or “If your hand causes you to sin cut it off?”
I already asked him that. Apparently that interpretation is ridiculous and he never explained why that’s ridiculous but not trusting anyone is not ridiculous.

Scripture is inspired by God so…
Except that its interpretation is also to be guided by the Holy Spirit, which is why the Church’s interpretation is the authoritative one.

Aren’t you trusting in a fallible human when you rely solely upon your self to interpret what Scripture must mean by the words that are written?

Yep. There are a hundred other references to people calling holy men or elders “father.”

Are you gonna expound on “Cursed is the man who puts his trust in man”

But there aren’t a hundred other references to NOT cutting off your hand if it causes you to sin.

So if we find a few references to trusting other people, at least some of the time in Scripture, you will rethink your position?

For starters…

2 Corinthians 7:4
Great is my confidence in you; great is my boasting on your behalf I am filled with comfort; I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction.

2 Corinthians 7:16
I rejoice that in everything I have confidence in you.

2 Thessalonians 3:4
We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will continue to do what we command.

2 Corinthians 8:22
We have sent with them our brother, whom we have often tested and found diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you.

Proverbs 31:11
The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain.

Most importantly, however, is the fact that God entrusted himself to the care of human beings, specifically Mary and Joseph, as a completely vulnerable infant. Can’t get more trusting than that.

Trust is confidence with evidence. God is all knowing so by that definition He can’t trust.

Okay. I suspect it means something like only God can be implicitly trustworthy since only he deserves our trust without question.

That does not imply that human beings can never be trusted. It means that they can be expected to break our trust, but that doesn’t mean we should never trust any human beings under any condition at any time. Understanding human fallibility means we have a better sense of the boundaries by which our trust in others ought to be delineated, whereas our trust in God should be boundless.

Either you mean “Trust is confidence withOUT evidence,” or your conclusion doesn’t follow. Since God is all-knowing, he would have every means of knowing by a plethora of evidence who he could or could not trust. So by your definition, God could trust with certainty since his confidence would be warranted by his omniscience regarding evidence.

I suspect you mean trust is confidence without evidence, which is why God having perfect knowledge of the evidence would simply know the depths of each person and so wouldn’t need to exercise trust.

I think of your definition of trust about as much as I think of the atheist’s definition of faith as “belief without evidence.” Both are simply incorrect views of the nature of faith and of trust.

you have not understood yet. It’s always the humans who said that the Bible is inspired by God, it’s not God who told you himself! Therefore if you believe that the Bible is inspired by God you are at odds with yourself because you trust the men who told you!

OP what have your experiences been when you have trusted people in the past?

It’s the definition of it in Paul’s epistle to the Hebrews. “Faith is the realization of things hoped for and evidence of things we do not see.” God sees all, therefore He cannot have faith.

I believe the same reason anyone believes: because of the grace given to me by the Holy Spirit. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with people!
