Prayer for Serious Illness

Lord Jesus Christ, You chose to share our human nature, to redeem all people, and
to heal the sick. With this in mind I beg You to look with compassion on Your
humble servant TIM., support him with Your power, comfort him with Your protection,
and give him the strength needed to fight against evil. Since You have given TIM., a
share in Your own passion, help him to find hope in suffering for You, Jesus.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (TIM). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into TIM’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for (Tim) who is suffering from tumors.

If it is God’s will, I ask that this day, the gift of healing be granted to (Tim). Comfort him during times of unbearable pain and fear, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering.

May God give (Tim) the fullness of life here on earth, or call him home to eternal glory forever. Amen.

Prayer to St. Peregrine is for others’ intentions.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

( please intercede for TIM please pray he is healed)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

Still amazed at the faith and kindness of people here! Thank you!

Today I get some blood tests to make sure all my levels are good to go for another round of chemo next week. I find it amazing that my liver functions at 100% when it’s covered with tumors! 👍 could be the prayers?

If all is well, I’ll start chemo Monday morning and wear the pump again from Mon-Fri which pumps in 5-FU in small doses every 2 minutes for 96 hours. I try not to think about it. I do what I have to do to live longer. I would love to take it all in one dose on Monday morning, but I’m sure the pump is sparing me some pain and/or bad side effects.

You are an inspiration to us all here with the courage you show in the things that have to be done.You are brave & will deal well with the pump over the 96hrs necessary.God is with you every step of the way .Much love T

Lord please guide the doctors and all medical staff treating our friend Tim to have the knowledge necessary to heal Tim.Grant them the ability and patience necessary to treat him according to Your will Amen
