If I had to guess, I would guess that the paragraphs in question didn’t explicitly endorse the Kasper proposal, but simply mentioned it as a general topic for future study, and a substantial minority (maybe a plurality?) of the synod bishops, while not directly on board with Communion for the sexually-active divorced-and-remarried, were at least willing to permit a mention of it.twitter.com/ThomasReeseSJ/status/523528823216697346
