No one’s arguing they are more criminally inclined as if there’s just something inside them that makes them criminals. It’s a cultural artifact, not genetic. But solving the problems means addressing them. We can address police brutality along with addressing crime rates. It’s not an either/or situation.I am still of the mind that black people are not more criminally inclined than other groups, all things being equal.
I actually had a roommate once who told me that she had started dating a black man because she didn’t want me to be alarmed if I saw a black man in our home. I told her there was a pretty good chance I was going to be alarmed if I saw any total stranger wandering around our house unless I knew they had an invitation. As for being a rapist, by far most of the people accused of rape who got their drivers licence photos posted on the TV warnings in that area happened to be white, not black.Supposing I get locked out of my home and then try to climb in the window. Will my neighbors be more likely to call the police if I wasn’t a petite female but a black male?
