Hezbollah have come out in favor of support for the Coptic Christian community in Egypt, and I posted a link to the story in Al-Manar earlier in this thread.

Great. Hitler was kind to dogs, and Osama bin Laden was a doting son to his mother. What does that have to do with terrorist designation?Hezbollah have come out in favor of support for the Coptic Christian community in Egypt, and I posted a link to the story in Al-Manar earlier in this thread.

OMG, did I just agree with Seekerz? It’s all a matter of perspective, I suppose. I don’t see how ANY entity which deliberately targets (or tolerates the targeting of) civilians as part of its modus operandi, has the moral basis to appeal to the rest of the world to take their side in a conflict.
The entire country? Of course not.So Mickey, the entire country of Israel is labeled “terrorist”
I’m sure there are even some governments who take that view.I’m sure there are some people who view the US military as a terrorist organization
So those bombed out buildings are fake? And Austria’s largest daily got caught photoshopping the War rt.com/news/syria-ausrian-newspaper-photoshop-639/ There’s your realiable Western media pulling a Wag The Dog stunt.
Again, Romney is almost as unacceptable as Obama and most Catholics are getting the wool pulled over their eyes supporting Romney.Congratulations to Mitt Romney. In calling for “opposition groups” to be armed and trained for their ongoing jihad against Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, the GOP’s presidential contender has managed to align himself with al-Qaeda emir Ayman al-Zawahiri and Muslim Brotherhood icon Yusuf al-Qaradawi.
BTW, I have consistently called for free access for INTERNATIONAL media - Western or not. Unlike some, I’m not scared of media organizations whose names begin with Al-.And Austria’s largest daily got caught photoshopping the War rt.com/news/syria-ausrian-newspaper-photoshop-639/ There’s your realiable Western media pulling a Wag The Dog stunt.
People have a right to defend themselves. What are Syrian civilians supposed to do, lie down and die peacefully rather than be defended by terrorist/radical groups? I’d bet if your house was getting shelled right now with your children inside it you might not be so picky about who came along to help…I’m sure Romney is concerned about the plight of Christians there. Again, Romney is almost as unacceptable as Obama and most Catholics are getting the wool pulled over their eyes supporting Romney.
“I continue to follow with alarm that tragic and growing episode of violence in Syria with the sad succession of deaths and injuries,” the pope said following his weekly prayers.
Our Holy Father is calling for an end to the violence. Romney and Obama are calling for an escalation of violence by sending weapons to the rebels.“I renew an urgent appeal to bring an end to all violence and bloodshed,” he said, calling for “no effort to be spared, particularly on the part of the international community, to reach a just political solution to the conflict.”
There are many ways to end violence. In the case of Syria’s government, having broken every negotiated ceasefire, it’s clear that talk won’t accomplish that end. So…one could meet force with force till a truce is inevitable or ask people to lie down and die until Assad’s anger is spent. Which do you think the Holy Father is asking us to do or is there some realistic alternative that I failed to mention? Our Holy Father is calling for an end to the violence. Romney and Obama are calling for an escalation of violence by sending weapons to the rebels.
How do you propose that we keep Assad from torturing and killing more kids; will Syria’s Christians form a human chain around them or are they to be the sacrifice whose blood washes the atrocities of the last 18 months?Of course we are supporting and funding terrorist “rebels” who are massacring Catholics (among others) in Syria. This has been reported for some time:

We have no reason to believe that the Catholic charities and Catholic authorities on the ground in Syria are lying. We have more than enough reason to suspect that the “rebels” are not really rebels (the sizable proportion of foreign fighters and al-qaeda betraying the very name “Free Syrian Army”) and that the “rebels” are actually the ones committing the massacres. Washington loosely refers to Syrian President Assad as a “dictator” or “brutal dictator,” but obviously if Assad is a dictator he is not very effective in that role. Normally, dictators don’t permit an opposition to rise, much less arm itself. The fact that the “rebels” are heavily armed and well-funded is an indication of interference from outside.
Remember Houla? It was originally blamed on Assad and the feckless, state-serving Western media outlets never once thought to independently verify the Goebbelsesque propaganda that they were dutifully relaying to hungry Western audiences. But we now know that the Houla massacre was committed by the “rebels” nationalreview.com/corner/302261/report-rebels-responsible-houla-massacre-john-rosenthal
Another massacre earlier this year at Homs was also blamed on the Assad regime, and was also disputed by the evidence, yet Western media outlets and our State Department were clear on the side they would be supporting regardless of the evidence.
Tremesh followed the same pattern: Hillary Clinton, one of the top defenders of the dangerous “rebel” coalition operating in Syria at American taxpayer expense and with terrorist backing, immediately claimed there was “indisputable evidence that the regime deliberately murdered innocent civilians” - “over 200 men, women and children,” in fact (state.gov/secretary/rm/2012/07/195003.htm). However, she did not present or cite any of the alleged evidence, but vowed to punish those responsible amid more calls for immediate regime change. Other Western leaders and financiers of the violence in Syria issued similar condemnations and more threats.
Hillary Clinton’s and Susan Rice’s (among others) reckless warmongering and selective misrepresentation and presentation of the disputed facts on the ground in Syria (that is costing LIVES) deserves a Congressional investigation. When the Syrian government denied responsibility for the Houla massacre, Susan Rice with no evidence immediately dismissed the denial as a “blatant lie.” Susan Rice - whose wild statements on Libya in the run-up to that unconstitutional war proved critical to the effort despite later being proven fraudulent - is helping to lead the global campaign for another bloody and unlawful disaster.
Not only should our elected “leaders” be investigated for instigating and maintaining (with U.S. tax dollars) this blatant intervention into the affairs of the soverign nation of Syria, but the mainstream media must be held accountable for their deceptive reporting journalistic misconduct. The media, continuously refers to the so-called “Free Syrian Army” interchangeably as “civilians” and “activists.” In reality they are heavily-armed, foreign-backed, and include among their ranks a sizable proportion of foreign fighters - so they are anything but a Free SYRIAN Army.
This is from a Jesuit who lived in Syria for 30 years.“Whether it will be a momentary fever depends on how many weapons the opposition has. If they are able to get weapons, the revolt will speed up in the worst possible way,” hardening positions on both sides and increasing the violence.
“Assad torturing and killing more kids.” LOL! More “rebel” propaganda. The atrocities fo the last 18 months have been committed mostly by the “rebels” who we now know include in their ranks large numbers of al-Qaeda and other foreign mujahedin, who are funded supported by the U.S and her Western partners, along with the Jordanians, Turks, Saudis, and other of the Gulf’s real tyrants. Most of the big massacres (Houla, Homs, Tremesh) that were blamed on Assad turned out to be committed by the “rebels.” Some of the leading Catholic voices in Syria - Bishop Antoine Audo of Aleppo, Patriarch Gregory III Laham of Damascus, Mother Superiro Agnes Miriam of the Cross of the Diocese of Homs - have been clear that the “rebels” are foreign Islamic extremists who are intentionally targeting the Christian population of Syria (which was protected under Assad) for destruction. How do you propose that we keep Assad from torturing and killing more kids, will Syria’s Christians form a human chain around them or are they to be the sacrifice whose blood washes the atrocities of the last 18 months?
It would have helped to hear his voice when Assad was spinning Kofi Annan for all he was worth…This is from a Jesuit who lived in Syria for 30 years.
Now we hear it is rebel propaganda. When it first started happening, Assad and his supporters were mum. You’d think he would have been happy to advertise the pictures of those tortured children to gain international support against the “rebels”! Now he’s wetting his pants suddenly he’s blaming the rebels? The UN sent delegation after delegation, even the Arab League sent at least one. Why did he not seek their support in protecting those innocent kids?“Assad torturing and killing more kids.” LOL! More “rebel” propaganda. If the al-Assad regime falls, Americans will be able to thank our State Department for the following: the slaughter and displacement of large numbers of Christians and Jews as well as Syria’s Alawite and Shia communities; the triumph of Islamic-extremist forces (Syria is one of the last moves on the chessboard); the opening of Syria’s prisons and the release of thousands of veteran and hardened Sunni Islamist insurgents; and the looting of the Syrian military’s fully stocked arsenals of conventional arms and chemical weapons; the latter is the largest in the Middle East and perhaps in the world.
