I’m not amused by that opinion piece. Opinion Doesn’t Equal Fact. The writer clearly has an agenda and is dismissing any use of military force.

Just War has always advocated exhausting all other options before striking.

They can question it all they want; however, there are still situations that require military force. If you cannot accept this, I’m afraid that you’re unrealistic.
 
Has the Catholic Church condoned U.S. intervention in Afghanistan as a Just War?

This is the same guy that said months ago he would sign any bill, and even with a majority in Congress has done squat, except retract his statement, now including conditions. Trump’s conditions will never be met because they are not constant, but move with every other statement.

They are not legally equivalent. Speeding is much closer legally. Would you be okay to having the government take your children away by force for a traffic ticket.

Also, the law is not, most definitely not, that those caught across the border will be separated from their children. Have you noticed that after all this time not one person in the Trump administration can actually produce this law? It doesn’t exist. Like traffic enforcement above, there is a narrow can in which it can happen. Those that do not understand this difference should not be speaking from ignorance, even if one is the Attorney General or the President.
 
As a widower, I can’t adopt children. I have been a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children.

I have volunteered for causes benefitting battered women.

I have never done any work for people in China that I can think of, but I am comfortable with my contributions to make the world a better place.

Since you haven’t mentioned anything, your opinions have crossed my line of no longer caring.

If you guys have a problem with people crossing the border, then perhaps find out why and try to fix the problem over there? If America is doing that with no results then clearly something isn’t right
 
If you know that your action will cause you to lose your children, and you do it anyway, why do you blame the government?

I guess you blame the police when they give you a speeding ticket.

In life, there’s a concept called personal responsibility. Follow the rules in life, and you will not lose your children or get a speeding ticket.

Do you think that 50% of Americans even have an inkling about the concept of amnesty.

Those uneducated people you mentioned have a lot of information about US immigration’s law.
 
Everyone is real quick with condemnations but no one is offering any solutions to the problem.

How many people should we take in?

1 million a year?
2?
3?

How are we to absorb whatever number is decided upon with no ill effects on infrastructure and without it costing American citizens too great a cost?
