What would you do differently with Iran? No answer. Which deductions? We’ll just leave that for Congress to figure out for us. Etc.
I must have missed that. Did that happen around the time that Biden didn’t answer the question about whether the Taleban will take advantage of the date given that the US will leave Afghanastan?

A plan requires details; what they have are policy statements. When you’re promising the moon you’d better have some meat and potatoes to go with all of the fluff you’re peddling otherwise you’ll find yourself as a lame duck president waiting for a deeply partisan Congress to do something other than bicker and throw legislation around out of spite. I for one don’t want to see anyone in the White House who doesn’t have a clue on how to accomplish anything that he’s promised.
Jobs Plan Full Plan

Well, at least we know what he’s selling. We’ll have to wait for a bipartisan committee to figure out what it is Ryan is selling. .
Did Mr Obama and Mr Biden ever manage to garner ONE Democrat vote for their budget?

Oh wait it was House 414-0 Senate 99-0 Defeated

Sounds like a plan to me - and they had how many years to put it together? 🤷

Let me get this straight: Ryan is promising to CUT taxes, keep the BIGGEST corporate loopholes open, and INCREASE the size of the military… And he intends for this to occur in a bipartisan manner?

Politically and mathematically: NOT possible. Just a way of promising everything to voters with no practical way to actually accomplish it.
Thank you

Biden: farily good use of emotional BS

Ryan: way too kind with Obama Admin record when Biden countered: Obama promised to cut the deficit in half, instead he doubled it, making it 4 times higher than he Promised. Flat economy. Dems focus on Rep’s ambiguity when Obama past record is clear and ugly. Obama had 4 years to cut loopholes for the rich, but he didn’t. He had full control of congress for his first 2 years, when it would have been easy, but he didn’t.

I think Biden gave a very good answer overall to that question. There hast to be a declared date to prepare for the withdrawal of personnel and equipment so they can be extracted in an orderly fashion. The Taliban would take advantage of any date which the US withdrawals regardless of when it is. Even if we didn’t declare it publicly; they’re not stupid. They’d notice if tens of thousands of US troops started packing up and moving out.

Cut loopholes. Now your math should work.

Not at all. Like Biden you fail to see how you can lower the individual tax rate but create more federal taxes in the process. This is not a new idea. It has been done before. When you create favorable economic conditions (which lowering taxes on everyone does is just one of them) people make more money, create more jobs, unemployment goes down. People pay less percentage but more taxes overall. You can’t tax a person on welfare.

This actually shows how clueless Biden and Obama really are.

What loopholes will account for the $2 trillion increase in military spending Romney is promising?

We’ve been doing it for over 10 years. Where are all of the jobs? Where are the higher wages? They’re nowhere because the trickle-down economics scheme doesn’t work. Even Reagan figured that out which is why he agreed raise taxes. Of course, back then the Republicans called tax increases “revenue enhancers” instead.

I pray that my young boys become more like Paul Ryan and less like Joe Biden when they are older.

I’m very disappointed in Ryan not being a stronger voice for orthadox catholisim. But of the
two choices I think Romney/Ryan would at least respect catholism.:sad_yes:

A blazing hot economy generates MORE tax revenues once fear of socialism subsides. We wouldn’t know what a hot economy feels like these past 5 years, so it’s easy to forget this mathematical lesson.

He isn’t proposing a 2 trillion dollar increases. They are simply not going to decrease it the way that Obama is planning to. This is what Obama keeps doing. They take something that they are planning to increase and then whey Romney does not plan to increase it, they call it a cut. Then, they take something that they are planning to decrease, and when Romeny does not plan to decrease it, they call it an increase.

You can see this easily looking at projected welfare spending under Obama’s projected budget versus the Romney-Ryan plan. Romney-Ryan plan to increase spending on welfare programs for the poor at a rate of 3%. Obama has proposed increasing this at rate of 8%. Never mind the fact that we currently spend over $300,000 per person below the poverty line on welfare, but that is another issue. The fact is that Romney and Ryan plan to actually increase spending on these programs, but not at the rate that Obama does, so he calls it a cut, because it looks good politically and they know people won’t actually look at the numbers.

Its a lie, and they know it is a lie, and you are falling for it.

I agree. Ryan was ineffective in really driving home all the failures of Obama’s presidency. He could have been much more forceful. Of course, when you’re being interrupted all the time, it makes it hard.

Hope to see the Bishops speak out about this debate, because millions of people watched and may think it is acceptable for Catholics to have divergient views on abortion
Indeed. Biden supports the murder of children in the womb. It is an abomination. He should have been officially ex-communicated years ago. However, he may not know it…but he has ex-communicated himself.

Like maybe noticing when we pull out troops during the fighting times? They might notice that the Americans can be killed easier? But that was Ryan’s point.
