I wear a brown scapular even though I’m not yet enrolled. I am in RCIA and joining the Church this Easter, so I have to wait until after confirmation.
I adjusted my scapular by sewing both parts together onto one side. This way it doesn’t flop around and get lost or choke me. So I wear it like a regular necklace, but under my shirt. It came with a St. Benedict medal and a crucifx, so I sewed the St. Benedict medal right inside between the two sides of the scapular. I didn’t like them hanging as they got in the way. The crucifix I left out since I wear a visible crucifix necklace anyway and it would have been kinda tight with the metal and crucifix both sewn in. Also I didn’t want them clanging.
Does anyone know, are these adjustments that I made ok? Will I still receive the same graces once enrolled?

Smooser, which scapular is it that when wearing it, God gives you the most graces?I experience a notable resistance to certain temptations or vices when I where one particular Scapular, and notice a very real difference when wearing others.Needless to say, it has become my favorite Scapular, but I wonder why there is this difference, and why this particular Scapular is more effective in giving me internal strength.
