Oh, let’s be clear. What is happening is disgusting.

However, it’s a broken system that has been a political hot potato for over 20 years. This is what kicking the can down the road looks like.

At this point, there is little way to deal with the situation besides draconian measures.

We’d need global help to handle things better. The world came running when Europe was dealing with the Syrian crisis. Where is the world now?
