Ocarina of Time may be one of my pinnacle childhood experiences, but Twilight Princess may be reevaluating my bia towards it. I’ll know for sure whence I beat it.

Twilight started out a bit slow for me, but then picked up for the second half. I think Midna is probably the most interesting of the “buddies” that Link has had.

The character development and music are really selling it for me. Not to mention, this Link is not not only the most heroic Link yet, but he has the coolest arsenal (sans Majora’s masks).

You’re making me want to replay this one now.

How far are you into the game?

I just beat the Sky Temple or whatever it’s called.

I actually beat it when it first came out - the first Zelda game I ever beat. But it came and went too quickly for it to have as big an impact on my as Ocarina.

Ah, that place with the weird bird people that make that humming noise in the stage music. That was probably one of my favorite dungeons in that game. I liked the dual clawshot action that began in that temple. Are you doing this in anticipation of the new Wii U Zelda game?

Agreed. Midna is without a doubt the best partner with the most amount of character development. And she helps you fight by turning her ponytail into a gigantic fist. 'Nuff said.

I think I am most looking forward to the new Starfox game. My sister and I have enjoyed the multiplayer on Starfox in the past so it should be good. It looks like there will be a Pokemon-themed Tekken game soon as well. I managed to become obsessed with Pokemon recently so I may pick that one up at some point as well.

That’s part of it. I originally stated because I wanted to write about them; I’d have to buy a Wii U before the new one comes out (if it ever does).

You know, I’ve somehow never played Ocarina. Am I missing out? Twilight Princess was my introduction to Zelda also.

Well, if you want a full-fledged review

If not, then I’d say give it a shot if you can buy it for the 3DS or download it for the Wii (that’s how I play Majora’s Mask).

And I gotta say, I’m disappointed by the look of Twilight Princess HD. I was hoping for a complete visual overhaul like Wind Waker HD. Though even if it got a brighter color scheme, I probably wouldn’t actually buy it since I’m waiting to get a Wii U whence the new Zelda comes out.

I’ll have to look at some side by side shots to see if I notice more of a difference. The brighter color scheme was what stood out to me, too.

I’m not sure if I’ll get it or not yet. That probably depends on whether or not I can get the Wolf Link amiibo separately. :o I’m a sucker for Zelda bundles. I got Skyward Sword with the gold Wii remote. I finally bought a Wii U when I could get the Wind Waker bundle with the uniquely printed Game Pad. Nintendo knows my weakness. 😛

I’ve found that a great way to make waking up at 4:15am to go work the morning shift in retail more bearable is to play video games for 15-20 minutes before heading off to work.

Still Tales of Xillia right now.

Might have mentioned this earlier, but I was really looking forward to Zestiria until I heard about all of the problems with the game. Battle mechanics, issues with how they handled a character, camera problems, and so on. I also don’t care for the strongly implied homosexual overtones in some character relationships (I mean, nothing is explicitly stated, but it might as well be).

What I hate about modern video games: endless so called “updates” that make you wait hours, days or sometimes even weeks before you can actually play the game.

I miss the good old days when you could just pop a CD/DVD ROM into your PC, click install and then play when installation is done.

Its better then dealing with a game breaking bug that cant simply be patched out. Also, what update take hours? Ive never had one takes more then a few minutes.
