Yup. That end boss was awful.I see. Have you played Opposing Force?

Definitely one of the more tedious enemies I’ve faced, agreed.Yup. That end boss was awful.
On second thought, I haven’t fully decided.I probably won’t get Pokemon Blue, I’ll just get a couple Gen I Pokemon in Moon.
Come on thread, don’t die on us now.(I hate to post five times in a row, but I’d like this thread to stay alive.)
Heh.Come on thread, don’t die on us now.
Don’t worry. This thread has gone dead numerous times and then someone releases a fairy from a bottle and it comes back for a couple of weeks. It’s been going on for a couple of years nowOn second thought, I haven’t fully decided.

I still have my Yellow Version, and I think the battery still works fine as well. Then again, it’s quite different from Red/Green/Blue considering that you get Pikachu instead of selecting the three original starters. The thing is, when it comes to making my parties, I like to compose them in the format of: 1 starter, 1 legendary, 1 mythical, and 3 regular. In Gen I there is only one mythical Pokemon, Mew, which I already like for Yellow; I suppose I could do things differently for Blue, though.Don’t worry. Why not get Pokemon Blue? I thought it’s only about $10 or so on the eShop or whatever it’s called these days. I never played any Gen 1 games because I was forbidden from having handhelds as a child, but I eventually managed to convince my mother to buy Pokemon Silver because you could play it through Pokemon Stadium II through the Transfer Pak. I had been playing Diamond and HeartGold last fall and it helped me to unwind during a stressful conclusion of my Ph.D. studies. Didn’t know about Sun and Moon until reading your post, but I am interested in trying those out when they release. I really hope that they have some kind of Stadium equivalent on Wii U though. I know that’s probably not really needed since the 3DS already has really good graphics, but I enjoy importing Pokemon from the handhelds into a tournament game on the consoles. I originally got interested in Diamond because I could import them into Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii. I don’t know why I like those tournament games so much because the AIs in those Pokemon Stadium-ish games cheat like nobody’s business![]()
You must have a crazy good battery in that cartridge in that case. I tried to revive my old copy of Silver last September and the battery was long gone by then. Had to pry open the cartridge and finagle the old battery out and replace it.I still have my Yellow Version, and I think the battery still works fine as well. I lost my Yellow Version for several years, so maybe several years of not playing it kept it going more (plus I’ve heard that original Game boy cartridges last a long time). I like all of the Pokemon games, I tend to go for the special versions or the second of the paired versions; so I like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, LeafGreen, Platinum, SoulSilver, White, White 2, Y, and Alpha Sapphire, and I plan on getting Moon. As far as console games I like all of those as well, though I’m as big a fan of XD because it doesn’t really have a battle mode, and I prefer the Stadium series overall. And yeah, I’ve brought up Pokemon a lot, I guess I’m just excited for the recent news. You must have a crazy good battery in that cartridge in that case. I usually try to go as far as I can without using any legendaries in my team. The big guns get pulled out when I’ve had enough of the AI criting every other turn, focus-band surviving several hits, quick claw activating almost every turn, avoiding confusion and paralysis every turn, etc. I am currently on hiatus since I don’t play video games during Lent, but after Easter I’ll have to EV train my recently-caught Lugia (who remains my favorite legendary of all time) to beat that magician character in Battle Revolution and his cheating Palkia. Although that I’ll probably have to use a less favorite legendary since I threw out Garchomp the first time I got to him only to have him pull Ice Beam out of the blue
. Didn’t see that one coming. This was after finally beating the trainer 2 battles earlier and his cheating Staraptor that OHKOs everyone with Close Combat while the Clefable draws all the damage with Look At Me or whatever that move is called. I EV trained a Jolteon specifically to deal with that Staraptor only to have it immediately Megahorned by Heracross (after quick claw activated yet again
, big surprise).
What Pokemon game have you been playing? You’ve been bringing it up a lot.
I play World of Warcraft(wow), World of Tanks (WoT), World of Warships, Age of Empires (AoE), and various games of FB and some flash games over the internet.I’m not exactly a gamer, per se.
However, I do enjoy playing them when the opportunity arises.
I’ve played video games since I was at least in middle school. This doesn’t include generic computer games during the age of Windows 98, 2000, ME, etc. (I admit I was a fan of Math Blaster. =P )
Lately, I’m into shooters and fighters games.
Any titles you have in mind?
I find it amusing that to these people religious upbringing in childhood amounts to some kind of child abuse, while teaching their children they are merely smarter animals is somehow healthy. The creator, Edmund McMillen, talked about his beliefs and its relation to the game in an interview in, I think, Indie Game the movie. It has been a while since I’ve seen it, but I remember having problems with some things he said. Like the cliched irreligious mantra of “I tots respect religion and religious people but I have to wave my atheist flag”. He said when he was young he view people praying for his safety as them “casting a protection spell”. Also talking about parents whom have killed their children claiming “God told me too”, blaming the religious belief rather then the mental health.
Joe, what have you thought of the Dynasty Warriors franchise? I am tempted to get Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage even though Blair Herter trashed it on X-Play.Do you like Hyrule Warriors? I actually haven’t picked that one up because I associated it more with Dynasty Warriors than with Zelda. It keeps calling to me, though.I keep waiting for it to go on sale, which I’ve yet to see it do.
Honestly, I’ve never played any title in the series. I just know it’s the prototypical hack-and-slash type of game, so I never really paid much attention to it.Joe, what have you thought of the Dynasty Warriors franchise?
