Who here likes video games? Anyone?

I fired up Dark Souls last night in anticipation of the remaster coming in May.

Nearly threw my remote through the TV. So it was like old times…

(for those who know how stupidly difficult (thus fun) that game can be)

I played a bit of Dark Souls on PC a couple years ago (had to install some mods to get it to work properly), but never got very far. Maybe I’ll get the remastered version on the Switch, if the port is good anyway, since I think my brother is getting it there and from what I remember it has an interesting multiplayer component.

Mostly playing Splatoon 2 right now.

Warhammer 40,000, Dawn of War. Venerate the immortal god emperor of mankind 🙂

MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries (too bad it doesn’t work well on Win 10). Three words: Zero Witness Cleanup.

TES Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Hated the leveling system in Oblivion though.

Warhammer 40,000… it’s like a parody of the Medieval Church in space 😉 Though, I’m pretty sure that some of the units are definitely not for minors, and may quite likely be considered heretical.

I’ve been playing Into the Breach lately, which is basically a series of mini chess matches with time-traveling mechs against giant bugs.

I’ve seen people draw comparisons to Pacific Rim, Edge of Tomorrow, Advance Wars and XCOM, all things I love and I think all pretty appropriate comparisons here.

Deus Ex 1 is pretty old, but surprisingly intelligent for a video game. The game uses conspiracy theories and religious symbolism to good effect to criticise the worship of money and technology, although it takes a while to get there.

So, anyone excited about the Dark Souls re-release?

Now that I take certain medications (my odometer has cranked up a bit higher since the original and I wasn’t a young thing even then…) I going to have to limit my playtime.

It’ll be nice in that it also includes the expansions. The Prepare to Die edition of the original was ridiculously hard to find…

Think the graphics will be noticably better?

Im into a mix of things. Agree with @seeksadvice - I loved the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Also spent a lot of time on Minecraft. Used to be into Sim City and Pokémon. Star Wars Knights of the Old Rebuplic had a great story. Tried to get into Elite Dangerous but space combat defeated me.

Sadly, I too am a gamer. I play Rpgs, sadly. And Splinter Cell. Yeah. I know. Stupid time-waster, but it’s fun. I do however do creative writing and reading.

I haven’t been much of a gamer for the past few years, but I broke down finally and got that new god of war. The best looking game I’ve ever seen hands down.

I just picked up the Mega Man Legacy Collection which includes MegaMan 1–10. Thankfully, it includes a “rewind” feature. I’m definitely not as good at them as I used to be. 😆

Had that happen to me when I dusted off Halo 3.

I originally made the moon rank. 42 or something like that. It meant that the number of people who were better at multiplayer than I was world wide could probably fit in a large high schools gym.

After ten minutes I turned it off in disgust…

I just bought a new xbox 360 so I could play Halo 3 again. I remember begging my mom to get me an xbox when I was a kid, but they were around $300 dollars at that time, and we were broke. Now a 360 is $70 and a copy of Halo 3 closer to $4.

Least they didn’t have any immoral act scenes… save the bloody violence. Plus side is: Kratos finally learns how to be a Dad! And quite frankly, I like having Tealc be Kratos. (Actor’s name is Christopher Judge, he did appear in MacGuyver and the scifi show Stargate SG-1 which I like)

Got my Computer fixed (it’s been over a year and I had to use a 10 year old windows vista pc) after accidentally bricking it by forcing a reboot.
I’m playing FO4 again and I got a new city simulator: “Cities XXL platinum edition”. Dang, this game is hard!
