I just bought a Nintendo 64 for some of the classic games I grew up with: Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, and a few others. I missed this system
Nothing wrong with playing the old classics. I just wish they’d release those special ambassadors games they gave out a couple of years ago for people to download from the Virtual Console.I bought a Nintendo 2DS to play games like Bravely Default, the new Kid Icarus, and the upcoming Super Smash Bros, yet I’ve spent almost all my time playing Virtual Console and Indie games!
Wario Land, Wario Land 2, both Super Mario Lands, Shantae, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Gunman Clive are what I’ve been playing thus far.
So in your world all those Protestant myths about Jesuits wanting to take over the world weren’t really myths after allI took over the world in Civ 5 as Ethiopian Jesuits by becoming the dominant culture.
A Link Between Worlds came in the mail about a week ago so I’ve been playing it for the past week or so. It’s very similar to A Link to the Past. Actually, I wish they had made it a little bit more different so you aren’t going to basically the same places in the same order, but it’s still really awesome. There’s lots of familiar enemies that only showed up in a Link to the Past. And Link gets this new ability where you can turn into a painting on the wall and move horizontally across the wall. So you can cross chasms like this and even slip through cracks in the wall and end up on the outside of the building. They also changed how they handle the items though. You have to rent them from this merchant instead of finding them in the temples. You can also buy them for an exorbitant amount of rupees (which you have to do if you want to power them up). It kind of takes some of the fun out of the temples though because I always liked being surprised by the item in each dungeon and then having to use it to complete the rest of the dungeon. But they brought back an equivalent of the magic meter finally. And they brought back the Fire and Ice Rods. It’s fun to attack the enemies with those, because the magic meter replenishes itself so you don’t have to worry about wasting it .You’ll have to tell me how Link Between Worlds is. Link to the Past was my intro into the world of Zelda.
I rename my religion the Society of Jesus every time for specifically that reason. I even usually wind up taking over the world government. (If you get declared the world religion, every country with a majority gets 2 extra votes at the World Congress)So in your world all those Protestant myths about Jesuits wanting to take over the world weren’t really myths after all
Cool. I didn’t realize it followed A Link to the Past that closely. It still makes me want to get a 3DS.A Link Between Worlds came in the mail about a week ago so I’ve been playing it for the past week or so. It’s very similar to A Link to the Past. I have got to find an extra source of income one o’ these days. Not only does Pokemon have my brother hankering for a DS, there’s still also Monster Hunter 4.Cool. I didn’t realize it followed A Link to the Past that closely. It still makes me want to get a 3DS.
Was your leader named Francis? I don’t think he’s the kind of guy that would be into world domination though haha.I rename my religion the Society of Jesus every time for specifically that reason. Well the dungeon I am in now has me stumped. It reminds me of the Earth Temple from Skyward Sword. Oh well, I’ll figure it out tomorrow .Cool. I didn’t realize it followed A Link to the Past that closely. It still makes me want to get a 3DS.
I’ve been playing Mario Kart 8. It’s very good. I’m excited about some of the new games in the works that Nintendo announced at E3. I think I’m most excited about the “Mario Maker” game where you get to design your own Mario Bros. levels (and then share them with others over the Miiverse). That will be lots of fun.
That’s always my approach to difficult Zelda dungeons: sleep on it. It really does help me to step away and come back when I get stuck.Well the dungeon I am in now has me stumped. It reminds me of the Earth Temple from Skyward Sword. Oh well, I’ll figure it out tomorrow .
Yeah, I wondered about Star Fox, too. They didn’t release any (new) Pikmin games for the Wii either. I kind of figured it was because the Wii was so successful, they didn’t have to reach that far back in their bench of IPs. I think Star Fox will be much better on the Wii U, anyway. From what I’ve heard, it aims to utilize the GamePad pretty well and allow you to fly in one direction while shooting in another direction.Yeah, there was a lot of good stuff announced at E3. It looks like Wii U will have a lot of decent things really soon. That Hyrule Warriors looks really cool and I bet the traditional Zelda slated for release next year will be awesome. And apparently they are doing a new Starfox as well. I wonder why they never made a Starfox game for Wii. I had not heard of the Mario Maker game though. Making my own Mario levels is probably something I wanted to do really badly when I was a kid . Actually, they have something like that already I think. It’s called “Super Mario Flash,” but it’s one of those online-only fan-made Flash games. I was watching some guy on Youtube clear some ridiculously difficult levels someone had made last autumn.
That’s just my approach to life. I’ve even gone to bed instead of pulling all nighters the night before something’s due. That’s always my approach to difficult Zelda dungeons: sleep on it. It really does help me to step away and come back when I get stuck.
Good approach. That’s just my approach to life. I’ve even gone to bed instead of pulling all nighters the night before something’s due.
Extremely graphic. But if can tolerate that, it’s story is surprisingly in tune with the Christian ideal of redemption.Just wanted to bump this thread
By the way has anyone of you heard/played Dante’s Inferno? Based on the section of Dante’s Divine Comedy of the same name but it deviates from the story a bit, especially on the character of Beatrice. Thoughts on the game?
Like how graphic? Bioshock graphic, Mortal Kombat graphic or in-between?Extremely graphic. But if can tolerate that, it’s story is surprisingly in tune with the Christian ideal of redemption.
