Mario murdering animals? What games are you playing?there is too much violence in video games mario murdering animals stealing money taking drugs i think the world is now corrupt because of those games because it all happens in the real world too which is sad
I have played all the Mario Kart games and recently bought MK8. I really am finding it frustrating, with the NPC’s being way too aggressive, making the game more of a roll of the dice. But then, ever since they came out with that blue turtle shell, I have always suspected these Japanese game designers of a sadistic streak.Any Mario Kart 8 fans? Nintendo just released some free Mercedes karts to add to the game. They also unveiled some upcoming DLC to be released in November and next May, which will include six new racers (including Link!) and sixteen new courses. All for $12! That’s half a game worth of new tracks!
I’ve always recoiled at the concept of DLC, but this I don’t mind.
turtles for example and even though they are fictitious goombas and other creatures in the game he throws fire at or stomps them to death just too violent for anybody to play they should all be bannedMario murdering animals? What games are you playing?
Sounds neat. Yeah, that MK DLC actually sounds worth it. I didn’t know Nintendo was into DLC though. Hopefully they don’t start making it so you have to buy the DLC to get a decent experience out of the game though. It reminds me of how they used to have those shareware demos for the early PC games, but that actually made sense because then when you bought the actual game you got all the features, and the demo was free. The track pack coming out in November has Link, Cat Princess Peach and Tanooki Mario. The one that will be released next May has a few characters from Animal Crossing and Dry Bowser.
But some of the screen shots of the new tracks make it look like there is a track inspired by Mute City from F-Zero and another looks kind of like an old Excitebike track. It will be interesting. I could see Nintendo basically coming out with one of these every 6 months if it is successful.
Normally, DLC makes me feel ripped off (like they held back on purpose just to charge extra later). I don’t feel that way with this because Mario Kart 8 has just as many tracks and features as any previous installment. So this feels more like extra.
No worries, you’re among friends . I spent the last few months playing Spyro the Dragon and enjoying it so I understand that feeling haha. Tales of Xillia 2 came out last week and that’s only slightly more mature.Something about Nintendo games makes me regress into a giddy 10 year old boy sometimes.
I actually thought MK8 was a bit easier than MK Wii. I think luck (or sadism ) has always been an element of the series. I always get hit with those blue shells right at the end of the third lap.I have played all the Mario Kart games and recently bought MK8. I do not know if I will go back to it, but I quit after one week, making it the first MK I quit on. Maybe I am just getting too old.
Glad to know I am not the only one that has blue shell woes. Can’t tell you how many times I was about to come in 1st only to get hit with one of those literally inches from the finish line and have 2 or 3 other racers pass me . Although I’m pretty sure Mario Party Chance Time takes the cake for the most sadistic, frustrating thing Nintendo has ever created.I have played all the Mario Kart games and recently bought MK8. I love the LEGO games, too! My daughter and I have been playing LEGO Marvel Superheroes. With that one, they have the feature where you can actually save progress mid-level, which is helpful because the levels can get long sometimes. We played LEGO City Undercover when we got it from the library (my library does interlibrary loan for Wii U games! How cool is that!?). The waiting list moves really slow, though, so we’re still waiting to get it a second time. I keep waiting for that one to drop to under $20 (like most LEGO games do eventually), but that one seems to always hover around $40. Probably because it’s a Wii U exclusive.I do not care for the MMO games, as they require too much time for any real progress, that is, to compete with others that live and breathe their game life. I prefer console games that can be played piecemeal, fifteen to thirty minutes at a time, over the course of weeks. I have a son that is nine and lots of life on my hands. I have to not only tend to household chores, work and school activities, I have to teach him likewise.
To this end, I have found the LEGO games both age appropriate, as well as challenging and entertaining for adults. We are currently working our way through City Undercover. It is an amazingly complex game with hours and hours of play time. It seems to hit the balance of frustration versus challenge for us both.
Nintendo seems to slowly be inching out into DLC territory. I’ve always felt Nintendo moved at my speed. I get the impression that they want customers to feel they are getting their money’s worth.Sounds neat. Yeah, that MK DLC actually sounds worth it. I didn’t know Nintendo was into DLC though. I’m playing Crusader Kings II too! I’m currently playing as the Holy Roman Emperor who now owns modern-day Denmark and France. Although for some weird reason the geographical center of my empire belongs to England now.I play a lot of games, I’ve played and am playing far too many to list. Skyrim and Oblivion are my two favourites of all time though and the game I’m playing the most currently is CK2. I like to pick a Catholic ruler and save Anatolia from the Turks and conquer the Holy Land. Then I bring fire and brimstone to the pagan tribes of the Steppes
A couple of my Knight friends had a D&D campaign going a while back. It was the butt of quite a number of jokes for a while there. You should go get Baldur’s Gate I and II off of GOG.com. They were awesome D&D PC games from the early 2000s. And Minsc and Boo are awesome. Just putting that out there.I love playing video and computer games that aren’t mainstream popular.
Right now I’ve been playing Warfare 1917 by Armor Games.
I want to get into Dungeons and Dragons too.
MMOs are kind of a hit or miss, even with the same player. If you’ve got friends who all play and you’re all active, the online world becomes a secondary pub/bar/coffee shop after work. From my experience, you don’t necessarily have to be a reigning PvP king or have to show up every time there’s a massive guild war. I find that’s more often the case for TCGs and non-RPG MMOs (e.g. Halo, DotA 2, League of Legends and in my case, Hearthstone). On the other hand, hanging out with my friends in the virtual world really made for some fun times.I do not care for the MMO games, as they require too much time for any real progress, that is, to compete with others that live and breathe their game life.
Lol I play on easy all the time and just blow everyone out of the water. it’s kinda ridiculousYes, well, I won Civ V rather handily. Except that doesn’t accurately convey how insane it got. I was FOUR eras ahead of a few civs at one point. I entered the Information Era when THREE civs were still in the Renaissance. Then, by the time I had one, I already had 3 future techs. The least advanced civ was still going through the Industrial Revolution.
There was one war I fought to secure uranium where I steamrolled across their land. I could take cities in a single turn with only two units, because of how stupidly advanced I was.
It wasn’t even on an easy difficulty. It was on Prince (standard)Lol I play on easy all the time and just blow everyone out of the water. it’s kinda ridiculous
Respect! :clapping:It wasn’t even on an easy difficulty. It was on Prince (standard)
By end of said game, I was generating at least twice as much science per turn as any other civ. And 4 times as many as 9 of them.Respect! :clapping:
