Who will you be supporting in the U.S. presidential election with our Catholic values in mind?

I believe Trump thinks he is above the law.
Democrats think they’re above the law. They lost in 2016 & still haven’t gotten over it

They’re impeaching him with zero evidence and for exercising Courts to resolve dispute between Executive and Legislative branches. We have 3 co equal branches of Govt for that reason.

As Democrat Jonathan Turley said “if you impeach Trump for going to Courts about a dispute over subpoenas which he has right to do, that is abuse of power…it’s Congress’ abuse of power

The law does not limit the Congress to any objectively determined evidence to impeach. They believe they have the evidence. Some believe it is inadequate evidence. That’s why we have a trial in the Senate. The House has followed the letter of the law. If you think there is some law that limits what evidence is admissible, please cite that law.

New legal standard to convict: belief in evidence
Impeachment is not conviction. That job is for the Senate.

Impeachment is not conviction
To Democrats it is, on TV and in many posts in these threads they’re saying he broke the law , is guilty, etc and Eric Swalwell yesterday said he’s guilty because he hasn’t provided response to certain Democrat requests, so Democrat’s have also tossed out the 5th amendment

destroys marriage by supporting lies about same sex nonunion,
Marriage was not destroyed by same sex unions but by divorce, especially no fault divorce.

Marriage was being destroyed even before gay people were allowed to marry each other.

Another question would be why do Americans pay more for the same prescription drugs than other countries?

Isn’t the free market supposed to take care of that? Due to competition between pharmaceutical companies prices are supposed to go down while driving research and development?

All you have here are questions and doubts, or denigration of those that received coverage, but no evidence or data to show that people have not been covered.
As you well know, the number of uninsured is about 30 million according to the GAO.
All I know about Obamacare is that it caused my sister’s premiums to triple.
If one is not subsidized, that’s what happens.

How, specifically, does the fifth amendment cover the requests? Hint: It doesn’t.

It was lethal aid, unlike with Obama who only sent non-lethal aid. He certainly had authority to spend the aid within the deadline, which he did. Ukrainians can now kill Russian tanks, which they couldn’t until Trump sent tank-killer missiles.
his affinity to Russia, Turkey, and North Korea
His sanctions against Russia surpass Obama’s. He has sent lethal aid to Ukraine with which to kill Russians. Do you want him to declare war on Russia? Is nuking Russia your requirement?

North Korea’s sanctions are also unprecedented. He has not caved in like Bush and Obama and Clinton did to NoKo empty promises.

Do you want Trump to request that NATO eject Turkey? Do you know how the vote will go on that?

There is not even a mechanism to eject a country from NATO, though, I’d think something could be done. They didn’t think of this when NATO was formed in 1948 or whenever.

And sometimes, things don’t last forever.

Erdogan’s party is losing members:

I read in an article recently a columnist remind us, that Putin nor Erdogan are going to last forever. It seems that way but, change may finally come.

As you well know, the number of uninsured is about 30 million according to the GAO.
In 2010 there were 46.5 million uninsured. By 2016 due to Obamacare that was reduced to 26.7 million. Since Trump took office and has done everything he could to gut Obamacare, the number of uninsured had started to rise to 27.4 million in 2017, and perhaps to 30 million now, if you are right. Understandable.

I agree. That kind of thing is valued by groups like the John Birch Society. I just don’t see a justification based upon the teachings of Christ, or the Church’s catechism involving social justice.

When Obamacare was passed, there was no certainty how many were uninsured or why. All estimates now are after the fact.

Trump did not “gut” Obamacare, though it’s a shame it wasn’t repealed entirely. What he did do was eliminate the tax on those who don’t have insurance.

A thousand Amens sadly to your statement regarding divorce and marriage. And who suffers the most for their entire life? The children.
