I have no moral obligation to choose between equally bad choices. Not voting is sometimes the only moral choice.
I always scored 135-145 on those back when I cared.EXdrinker:
I beg to differ. In this case it is the other way around. It was during a televised “covid19” daily conference for all the world to see. This isn’t about “the Wizard’s real IQ” but may be about the IQ of those who believe that he actually said it as reported.
I have pasted a free IQ resource for you and the five people who liked your post for your convenience.
The original comment said “Trump suggested Pine Sol or UV might be helpful in dealing with C19.” It is pretty easy to find the text or video of Trump saying that, see below. “might be helpful” seems like an accurate characterization of the remarksYou would do better to post a link to Trump telling people to inject Pine SOL, but if course you can’t
And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it’d be interesting to check that. So that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see…
If you don’t oppose the abortion candidate, you definitely will be a party to evil.Don’t vote at all and you won’t be a party to evil.
Trump did not tell people to inject disinfectant “as reported”. He was merely talking about the things that kill the virus and about how they might find ways to incorporate these into treatments in the future. The media reported that he told people to inject disinfectant. The original post criticized Trump’s IQ which made no sense without the asinine fake news reports that followed from the original press conference. Even if the original poster did consider merely bringing up the possibility of finding treatments from those things that kill the virus means he has a low IQ, I merely pointed out that those who believed the reports following without investigating themselves may be the people with the low IQ.The original comment said “Trump suggested Pine Sol or UV might be helpful in dealing with C19.” It is pretty easy to find the text or video of Trump saying that, see below. “might be helpful” seems like an accurate characterization of the remarks
If you could show me where anybody here talked about Trump telling people to inject Pine-sol, your comment might make sense. “Instead, you insinuate that a lie is truth in what you believe is a clever way. You would make a great mainstream media anchor and earn great accolades in the echo chamber.”
I oppose abortion and every other evil.If you don’t oppose the abortion candidate, you definitely will be a party to evil.
Killing children is in a class by itself, the one issue the U.S. bishops have said is the preeminent issue in this election. Nothing else in this society even comes close to direct killing of innocent human beings.oppose abortion and every other evil.
Agreed.Killing children is in a class by itself, the one issue the U.S. bishops have said is the preeminent issue in this election. Nothing else in this society even comes close to direct killing of innocent human beings.
Agreed.Doing nothing should not rest easy on the conscience of any Catholic.
In the very next sentence, immediately after that mention, they say “At the same time, we cannot dismiss or ignore other serious threats to human life and dignity such as racism, the environmental crisis, poverty and the death penalty.” It sounds like your interpretation is suggesting that we do exactly that.Killing children is in a class by itself, the one issue the U.S. bishops have said is the preeminent issue in this election.
I am not ignoring what they said. I am disagreeing with your interpretation of it. Nowhere in the bishop’s statement do they imply that one cannot vote for a pro-abortion candidate. If they did mean that, then they would not have written the sentence that followed it, because that sentence directly contradicts your interpretation of the first sentence. If one can never vote for a pro-abortion candidate then how could anyone ever act upon the other serious threats to human life and dignity? There will always be some measurable difference between any two candidates on abortion. And if that difference dictates how one must vote, then there is not practical opportunity to act on those other threats. I see the second sentence as a qualification of the first. Whereas you make no provisions for acting on the second at all.“It sounds like?”
Are you really going to ignore what they really said in favor of what you would prefer that they said?
Of course they don’t ignore other moral issues. They don’t ignore theft or assault or pornography either. But they did say the killing of unborn children is the preeminent issue.
I didn’t distort the words, I just stated the likely fact that those who believed the media reports about what he supposedly may be the one’s with the low IQ.Why are you bringing up distorted news reportIng? The person you were addressing accurately characterised the President’s words. If you thought otherwise, you would not have distorted them.
Brainstorming does include outrageous ideas, some of which turn out to have some nugget of truth. I think people clearly understand that injecting disinfectant into a blood stream would be bad, even President Trump. I took him to mean, is there something about disinfectant and its ability to kill the virus that can be incorporated to safely treat a patient in the future? I am sure the vast majority of people understood it this way. Certainly not the way it was portrayed by the media or the person who posted this.I agree with you that the President was brainstorming. But haven’t you ever been in a brainstorming session where somebody suggested an outrageous idea without realizing how outrageous it is?
I agree with you that Trump, not knowing how outrageous his response is, is not a sign of a low IQ. It is a sign of someone unaware of real life; if he had ever taken care of children, or ever used a disinfectant, he would know how outrageous his idea was. He did not know. That inexperience is more damning than having a low IQ imo.
