Not really. At a minimum, major parties make small adjustments when they see voters peeled away. No one adjusts anything for nonvoters.

I am against abortions of course.
I don’t follow inner US politics, I am more interested what the politicians say about foreign politics.
Sometimes politicians in such conditions and cramped circumstances that breaking the prevailing foundations by revolutionary moral bills is heroism above a measure.
Other politicians promise but in populist, fake rhetoric, and after they forget their promises

Not worth arguing this clearly. As I said before, the Democrats during the civil war were southern democrats which left the party and became republicans. Not the same Democratic Party.

I have a political science degree, I did happen to study this more than just reading one website link
Simply stating this over and over ad nauseam does not make it true. Learning this idea in college or on the internet does not make it true.

It seems to me, the issue is that abortion is being used to describe the entire essence of what it means to be “liberal” and we are forgetting the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church which are just as important when determining who to vote for.
A good example of what it means to be liberal (dogmatic affirmation of the absolute independence of the individual and of the social reason regardless of the law of God) is a belief in abortion rights. Also, a belief that not giving food to the hungry is the same as ending the life of a baby. This IS the result of liberalism.

I think “populist” means something different in Europe and America. Trump promised to start no new wars and to try to liquidate the ones we were in. He has kept that promise.

After Trump suggested Pine Sol or UV might be helpful in dealing with C19 Toto finally pulled the curtain back on the Wizard’s real IQ. Children were laughing about that.
This isn’t about “the Wizard’s real IQ” but may be about the IQ of those who believe that he actually said it as reported.

It seems to me that the role of United States, as a world policeman in meaningful degree gave hope for national determination, for democratic transformations of many parts of Middle East, Far East, East Europe. The less American presence, the more barbaric, primitive dominance of the gravity of the masses, of empires who smash the dreams of national minories. (Ukrainians, Georgians, Baltics, Kurds, the youth democratic movements of Middle East and Central Asian countries )
Many of the states who looking at US for help, and support by making first steps in democratic initiatives are surrounded by authoritarian empires, or Muslim empires/radicals.

The Americans have enough problems of their own to solve. Have you been watching the recent news? Whole businesses are being looted and burned to the ground. Why doesn’t Ukraine help these unfortunate American people who have lost their life savings in this American civil war.

Obviously I would always vote for the pro life candidate. The biggest moral issue of our time requires politicians standing for the morally right thing. It does not matter if it’s opportunism or genuine concern for the rights of the unborn that motivates the politician as long as the pressure is being kept up in this battle of good vs. genuine evil.

The enemies of democratic countries, the enemies of US, are gloating. They say -you originated and saw the revolutions now you reaping the revolution, but I think totally differently. I think its like figuratively scoffing at Jesus , -you saved others, and you cant save your self.
US still the most religious country among Western countries, and yes, when I began to explore the Donald Trump presidency, he helped our country(Ukraine) a lot and he is initiator of very conservative changes in the country.
But what is going on is temporary and will be changed for better in the nearest future.

I’ll be voting for Joe Biden. No doubt about it.
So you are going to vote for a man who supports abortion, who was denied communion in Church, who can’t form proper sentences, who bowed the knee to BLM, who threatened to fight a voter because the voter asked him if he’d try to take away our second amendment rights, and is in a lawsuit over sexual abuse allegations(I know President Trump was accused as well, but since then all “charges” have been dropped. Clearly a political action to try and defame the President.). Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me to vote for Biden. Of course, we all have our right to vote for whomever, but Biden seems like a waste of a vote for a Catholic…

Nobody will care. Democrats are never held to account. Only Republicans are. One can even be an Imperial Wizard of the KKK like Byrd was, and still be given a pass.

Imagine if Trump were on record having made a comment about not wanting his kids “to grow up in a racial jungle.”

Imagine the screaming fits and tantrums…lol.

Good grief.

Robert Byrd apologized for that for 60 years. He considered it “his greatest mistake” and warned others against it. “Intolerance had no place in America.”

I will vote for Trump after he has apologized for his intolerance for 60 years. By then I hope he will have learned how to work with other people and developed some of the skills needed to be a competent administrator.

And some probably believed him. He did, of course, use the “N” word much later than that.

Have you noticed the silence of the many people of color or other ethnicities that have worked for Trump over the years? People don’t require apologies if there is nothing to apologize for.

Byrd used the “N” word back in 2001. Just kind of hard to get past the habits of a lifetime.
