I thought of some reasons former Mormons fight so hard. First, they love the other Mormons and want to save them. Second, they feel lied to and betrayed. Third, most importantly, it is fun.

Just to set the record straight, I’m not an ex-mormon, but I’m sure that your observation is valid. In my case, I detest any kind of tyranny, especially religious tyranny, as is found in mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, scientology etc. etc. and I love to see the cockroaches run when you shine the light of Truth on them. It is a pity that we don’t get scientologists on here, I am sure that we would take them apart as well. Don’t misunderstand, I have no axe to grind with individual mormons, whom I believe to be duped and deluded, through no particular fault of their own. it is the system, based in Salt Lake City, that I have a problem with. They have created an evil empire, with power over the minds of men, and all based on the lies of their “prophet” Joseph Smith. That’s where my beef lies.Hosemonkey seems to enjoy it most of all.

The temple “endowment” does not come from the LORD. The temple endowment is a product of the imagination of Joseph Smith, who copied it from Blue Lodge Freemasonry. It has been changed many times, unlike for example, the Ten Commandments, which were REALLY handed down from God. The temple endowment is readily available on the Internet, and consists mainly of pseudo-masonic buffoonery. For example, the apron as “The emblem of Satan’s Powers and Priesthoods.” So what do you mormons do? Of course, tie on an apron. Doesn’t that make you wonder, just a little bit?

I am not so sure that we are being fair to the Mormon side. THe vast majority of them fall into two camps: those who have been conditioned from birth and those who have been conditioned from a later date. Either way, there are layers of issues we must peal through. Just look at how quickly they reject science and history to avoid cognitive dissonance

Humans cannot and will not ever become angels. Angels are created Beings of will and intellect, but they have no true physical body. With the exception of the initial choice, thier wills are fixed on God (or against) and they cannot change sides. Until we die, we have the ability to change from sin to unity with God. We are not siblings to the angels in any sense that I can think of other than as both being Created by God.
