Why are they still protesting? What do they want?

I dont know if it’s still currant but people use to have “Miss America” and Miss black America.

Try having miss "White America "and see what happens.

The world knows what the protesters want. You expect me to believe some posters on this thread don’t? I’m at a loss, but until they get it, the protests must go on.

It’s a great question. Sit down and have a cup of coffee with a black person - or any person of color and ask them.
 
I had a client–whos diamond popped out without any paperwork. I ask every client this happens to to look for paperwork because then its covered. She had no paperwork

This client called customer service and said because she was black, I didnt think she could afford the repair.

That’s because I’m blond and white.

I’m sorry but there was a black miss America Robin Givens crowned miss america in the early
Eighties when Black miss America was still around.

In theory the protesters want an end to racism.

But just as we learn in the field of education, ‘learning the material’ is a vague concept, unmeasurable. Tell me what ‘an end to racism’ looks like. What laws or policies need to change?

Show me that there IS racism. I live in a VERY racially mixed neighborhood and I see people of all colors and races living and working together and some are jerks and some are not and it doesn’t seem to have much to do with skin color. They all have access to the same schools (including my kids). They work together at the local stores.

Give me the criteria for what shows or proves that ‘racism’ exists.

If this conversation matters, then it matters enough for you to answer these question instead of blowing them off with ‘well if you don’t know…’

Is there currently a law or policy that says, “You may kill black men,” which needs to change?

Is there currently a policy of prosecuting cops when they kill white men but not when they kill black men, that needs to change?

The cops involved were all IMMEDIATELY fired and within days one, then the rest, were charged. Should they have been fired more quickly than immediately? Should they have been charged more quickly?

Do cops have any rights, as the rest of us expect, for the evidence to be reviewed even for a few hours, before they are arrested?

What is the responsibility of those who make arrests if they do so without enough evidence to justify arrest?

Do you, personally, make any differentiation between protesters and rioters? Or what the protesters want vs what the rioters want?

If I decide to go out and protest (whether with signs or by rioting and burning things) the current state of abortion laws in this country, I can tell you exactly what I want: for abortion to be illegal. I don’t care how many times someone asks me, I will gladly tell them: I want abortion to be illegal because it is the deliberate murder of a human being.

So if the cause of the protesters matters to you, state upfront what it is you or they want SPECIFICALLY. Give us bullet points and make it specific and measurable, so that we have a way to see we as a society are making progress. Don’t just blow it off as, ‘if you don’t know, I can’t help you.’

I’m in nj and the protests are incredible. To me it shows a racial divide. Which to me, skin is an organ, just as eye color or any other organ. Can you imagine people protesting because thier
Liver is not as pink as another?

And you feel this way because human beings have value and worth. They are made in the image of God. (I think maybe people of color might have something to say about this if you asked them.)
 
The object of those lockdowns was to destroy the economy, (one of Trump’s main positive points) and to shut down churches.

The object of the riots is to fire up the base before the election, distract from Democrat weaknesses, bait Trump into sending the military everywhere, and intimidate Trump supporters.

It all boils down to politics.
 
I know, right. I totally agree the black lives matter and I support the protest to hold police accountable, but this organization is messed up. I think if most the people holding up BLM signs took a look at this website, they’d make a new sign!
