No, you’re twisting my words here to attempt to benefit yourself. Nice try, but you’ll fail.I guess you would be totally against Christian missionary efforts in places like Indonesia. I understand your desire to respect the religious beliefs of others, but the church has a mandate from Jesus Himself. We ought to be willing to present the good news (the gospel) to people wherever we can reach them…even at the risk of being perceived as offensive or disrespectful of their religion. There is nothing in this world that is more urgent than presenting the truth to those who desperately need it. As you know, many of the apostles were killed for spreading good news to people who were deeply offended by the truth.
The Church has a mandate to evangelize. Not persecute or belittle. No religion who wants people to listen will say “EVERYTHING ELSE IS GARBAGE AND YOUR GOD IS FALSE”. It’s why people make fun of televangelism, because that’s what they do. That’s not how apologetics and evangelization work.
You also ignored what I said in that post. I said being non-PC doesn’t mean I think someone has the right to be blatantly disrespectful. So don’t tell me about calls from Jesus to the Church and tell me that because I believe disrespect is out of order I’d be against missionary work. And keep in mind I’ve lived in a nation where I WAS told my religion was false and my God was false and my beliefs are all wrong.
