And the churches in Corinth etc. are not to be equated with denominations of today. They either taught the true teachings, or they made mistakes about the true teachings, which is what can and does happen when one attempts to interpret everything on one’s own (which is why St. Peter was ‘against’ personal interpretation). The reasons the churches in Corinth differ from say the Baptist or the Church of Christ churches today is that they submitted to authority and stopped doing wrong when Paul or Peter or James corrected them; and understood that with all sorts of conflicting ‘interpretations’, somebody had to guide them, as Philip guided the eunuch. That ‘somebody’ is the Catholic Church, which has apostolic succession as Jesus gave us and the Spirit showed us.
Why are you so sure that your church’s Bible, be it KJV or ‘other’, is the ‘real’ Bible when you know from reading it that there were ‘false’ teachings going on, and that they did not cease with the death of the apostles? Where did that Bible come from?
