This is an excellent point that more Christians would do well to consider. Also everything you do effects your heart. So if you fornicate, it effects your heart, if you lie it effects your heart, if you donât obey God it effects your heart, if you do whatever you want it effects your heart. So in Islam Allah only cares about what is in our hearts too, but there is a way of getting our hearts the way He wants them, by doing what He commands and staying away from what He prohibits.
You canât beat your wife and say she only cares about what is in my heart. Whatever is in the heart is expressed by action. If you love your wife in your heart, you should prove it by listening to her. (this is just an example, please no one focus on the example itself, just the point being made).
LMAO, maybe so, pro, but do you not see how condescening you are being by posting that? This is an excellent point that more Christians would do well to consider.

Actually, I was referring more to our misguided âFaith alone!â brothers, who think that no act matters to God in the face of repeating âJesus is my friend.âLMAO, maybe so, pro, but do you not see how condescening you are being by posting that?
How about more people in general should consider?
Well goodness Pro I figured you were thinking of cestusdei.Actually, I was referring more to our misguided âFaith alone!â brothers, who think that no act matters to God in the face of repeating âJesus is my friend.â
lool exactlyâŚwhat does bacon have to do with the heart? (spiritually) âŚbutter as well clogs it so??and if you eat too much bacon it clogs up your heart
lool exactlyâŚwhat does bacon have to do with the heart? (spiritually)âŚbutter as well clogs it so?? in my opinion, not what enters your mouth that defiles you but what comes out of it is much more spiritual than : if you love me, do not eat pork or to obey me: do not eat pork.
if you love me, do not kill, rape, hurt, steal, butâŚeat pork??? and why pork? all animals have had their share in diseasesâŚand there are many people who just donât like its tasteâŚi meanâŚoh well whatever âŚ
i understand perfectlyâŚyes staying away from whatGod prohibts is what we should doâŚbut lets take it a step further : why does God prohibit something? is it to boast for being the all-powerful master and you the slaves who must obey? or is it for your own good and the good of humanity? Also everything you do effects your heart. So if you fornicate, it effects your heart, if you lie it effects your heart, if you donât obey God it effects your heart, if you do whatever you want it effects your heart. #1 is unscientific nonsense.I actually read something written by Nation of Islam leader Elijah Mohammad regarding pork. Just to summerize what he said:
Just some food for thought.
- Pork, no matter how or if itâs cooked or not, contains worm larve that enter into the bloodstream and inbed themselves in body tissue. The worms hatch and destroy the tissue.
- The âwhite manâ sells this âpoison meatâ to darker skinned races to make them sick.
(I know the nation of Islam is not real Islam, BTW)
YOu are posting a reason to support a scriptual prohibition. But that is not a reason set forth in the scripture (certainly not of Torah and I donât think in Koran). The Koran, like the Christian Bible follows many things that were originally set forth in Torah. The pig is specifically stated as a no-no in Genesis.I was lead to believe, by my dad, a fairly âtraditionalâ man-i.e has some ignorant prejudices against everyone, but also by a Muslim friend, who is liberal however so his beliefs may not conform to standard Islamic teaching that the belief in not eating pork was a tradition (possibly branching from the Jewish tradition) because pork spoiled quickly in desert heat and lead to food poisoning. But Iâm not an Islamic scholar, or a butcher so I canât verify either statement.
Unclean does not mean dirty. It is to be taken in a ritual context.I donât understand the big deal about pigs being unclean. According to:
The Hadith
Bukhari Vol. 1 #234
Mohammed ordered his followers to go to the herds of camels and drink their milk and URINE!
Vickie
Actually, heâs venerated as being a messiah figure to militant black muslims. This âleaderâ should be a public laughing stock for promoting such a ludicrously stupid theory.
So Jews are asked not to eat pig while performing some ritual? or is it forbidden always? and what does a pig have to do with anything?Unclean does not mean dirty. It is to be taken in a ritual context.
No. We are always forbidden to eat pork. We cannot eat any animal that does not both chew its cud and have a cloven hoof. A pig does not chew its cud.So Jews are asked not to eat pig while performing some ritual? or is it forbidden always? and what does a pig have to do with anything?
